Mr. Wu’s Wonton King is as authentic as it gets!
One comes here for the food and not the ambience.
This place is ideal for big groups with its massive tables and large portions.
It’s byob (wine/hard liquor) besides beer which worked out great for us since my friend makes her own wine. Bonus no corking fee!
Waiters are busy and clearly not there to chat but get you what you need.
The food is delicious and extremely affordable. The menu is a little overwhelming with all of its choices. We ordered the Sauteed Razor Clams, Garlic Aromatic Chicken, Pan Fried Noodle with Beef and Sauteed Snow Peas. They also include complimentary tea and mango pudding.
It might seem far being deep down in Chinatown but the F train is literally right outside the door. It’s worth checking out.
Reservations are recommended.

Great spot away from all the tourists. Food here is always solid to great. Never had a bad dish here, service is always friendly and attentive, dont come here expecting fake smiles though. Favorite dishes here, the Tai ping twin rice noodles, sweet and sour pork ribs, suckling pig, steamed whole fish, west lake beef soup. They’ll also lower the salt content on request to the best of their abilities.

We found this restaurant in a NY restaurant blog for excellent Chinese duck dishes. And it was correct! This place is busy for take out, but does offer sit down service. The menu offers a full array of traditional Chinese dishes, but the duck and chicken were exceptional. The portions can be shared and if you want rice or veggies, order them as side dishes. We loved this dinning experience in NYC Chinatown.

One of the authentic NYC Chinese restaurant off the beaten path .
The lobster noodles was $30+, a great deal. We had the chicken and ang choy veggies. Bill came up to $100 with tip added.
It was a lot more food than we can take.
It was a great spot!

I got the garlic half chicken with the fried rice and shrimp rice dumplings. The dumplings were great. The chicken was still a bit red on the inside so I friend refused to have it. Otherwise I enjoyed the food.

Went with friends and family. Luckily for us we had friends that spoke both Chinese and English. Family oriented, impeccable service phenomenal food. Served family style. We had crab, pork, shrimp and peeking duck. They all sang happy birthday to me. I will never forget.

The food was okay. Unfortunately, the pricing felt unreasonable for the quality and portion sizes offered. What stood out even more was the excessive number of servers on the floor, which did not translate into better service or a smoother dining experience.
To make matters worse, the restaurant mandates a tip of more than 15%. Tipping should reflect the customer’s experience, not be enforced at an inflated rate.
It’s also worth noting that this is New York City, where there are many comparable restaurants offering the same level of food quality at more reasonable prices and without restrictive policies. Given the competition, the current pricing and tipping policy do not seem sustainable.

It’s good but nothing really special or memorable. Peking duck is cut thick with buns, instead of thin crisp skin on crepes. Portions are decent.

We stopped in because most members of our group wanted the Peking Duck. It was a really good restaurant with good service. Most of the table had the Duck. My girlfriend believed it was good. I had the sesame chicken with broccoli, it was good. In addition we had a seafood stew, black pepper pork chop. We shared everything so the portions were rather large.

This place has your standard Chinese food. I wouldn’t say it’s amazing but it’s good hence the 4 stars.
The seafood plates we got were flavorful and not overcooked.
The veal chops were soft and had a good amount of flavor
The wontons were above average
The beef chow fun was probably the worst dish – it was dry and no wok hei
The eel was good
The fried pork belly was a bit on the dry side
