Really enjoyed this place from the atmosphere to the food it was all quite good. The service could have been better. Our server didnt check in that much at all, and she never once refilled our waters. The cheese board was fresh with lots of variety, and the Brussels and Mussels were delicious. The portions were very generous as well. Definitely a good find for lunch didn’t even have to wait to be seated. They also have their own little parking lot which was really nice and convenient.

I met a friend for coffee and a slice of carrot cake, both of which were very good. There is a full bar (I’m currently not drinking), but my friend was taken care of just fine. I have been here before for brunch and everything I ordered was delicious. A nice quiet atmosphere during the daytime, and service is always top notch!

I loved the place! Another visit with bRUNch running group, and another great one!
While we stayed on the patio, the interior was very climatic, I would be very happy to come back just to experience it fully. The staff was friendly and helpful.
We have tried the pork belly toast and fig&pig gluten free pizza. The toast was way less greasy than expected, of course super rich, but amazingingly tasty. The gf pizza has the type of crust I see all over Colorado (I’d like to learn who provides it! Edit: it’s Sweet Escape Pastries), and it’s the good one, with characteristic smooth finish and kinda gooey inside. If you had it before, you know what I’m talking about. It’s definitely the way to go if a restaurant doesn’t prepare it themselves, always happy to see it.
Overall, a good visit!

Such a fun find! We came for brunch and it was all delicious! There is a bottomless mimosa we cannot wait to come back for! The Blackbird sandwich and Morning After were both great!

To be honest, the whole experience was sort of underwhelming – from being essentially ignored upon entry to basically everything we ate needing seasoning. My friend’s espresso martini had a cherry(??) in the bottom. The Buddha bowl was missing some of the ingredients that actually made it sound appealing and was basically a bowl of lettuce with a pile of quinoa dumped on top. We ended up ordering the pickle pizza in addition to our disappointing entrees, which I guess confirmed that this isn’t the place to get a bowl of vegs and just stick to what they do well (pizza). The staff were nice and helpful enough once we got seated, but for being such a neighborhood staple, I was really surprised by how disappointing the food was.

The bartender was amazing! I really wanted oysters for a celebration and it was before they were available and she made it happen. Will be back!

I’m a fan of the daily happy hour. The personal cheese pizza is a good deal and super tasty. Also have some decent prices on a few cocktails.
We ordered a spring salad off the normal menu and was a bit disappointed with that. Overall the ingredients were not super fresh.

Update 10/13: Stopped by for a Saturday brunch and had a great experience. The eggs benedict (and the potatoes that came with it) were delicious. Everyone else at the table also enjoyed their food.
The breakfast old fashioned missed the mark for my taste buds – the red-hot cinnamon flavor was too overbearing. But, the bottomless mimosas for $15 were a killer deal.

Went there for dinner tonight. We didn’t catch the server’s name but she was new & very sweet but seemed she needed more training support. I ordered a beer listed on the menu – they didn’t have it. I then tried to order a hard cider – they didn’t have that flavor either. Sprite was served without syrup. Food was okay, Brussels sprouts were not trimmed or cooked well, also served with wrong sauce (we didn’t complain as we didn’t want to wait any longer). Pizzas were okay, ordered the real dill and the pie came out soaking wet. Ordered the fig & pig, it was dry and where was pig? Again did not complain about food quality. Server apologized for the out of stock items but said it’s a regular thing. Ownership needs to get it together & put out a menu of items they have in stock and properly train staff before they’re on the floor solo.

This place hasn’t had good food for years. I come in every 2 years and today I tried again. Mutant chicken. The wings are a train wreck. Beyond being chewy and feeling microwaved, you might get wings that look normal plus some mutants. Not a spot you want to come get wings. And 2 years ago the other dishes I tried had similar results. And I live literally 300’ away from this place. Ok beers and wine.

Unfortunately, the service at Black Bird Public House was abysmal.

Before ordering, I asked two different people, twice, what the dip of the day was, only to finally be told after asking again they no longer have this as a menu option (they said they’re re-doing their full menu soon.)

It took about 45 minutes just to get our order taken, even though the restaurant nor bar were busy. Our orders were read back to us and corrected at the time, yet issues still followed. I said no pickles multiple times, it was acknowledged and confirmed, and my food still came out with pickles. I also ordered parmesan fries and received regular fries. Instead of bringing out some parmesan fries I was offered to use the parmesan powder on the table you shake on pizza or they could bring out a side of parmesan. Another person in our group ordered a side Brussels sprouts with their food, which was a stated option from the server, and received fries instead.

After ordering, no one checked on us at all. We were a party of 4, and one person’s pizza came out first, and we were told our food would be up shortly, which turned into another 30+ minutes. In total, it took 50 minutes to get food for the remaining 3 (all ordered simple sandwiches/wraps)- I eventually had to walk up to the bar myself to follow up.

They offered shots to our table even though it was very clear our group wasn’t drinking. They eventually gave us 25% off, which was appreciated, but it didn’t really make up for the experience.

The frustrating part is that the food itself wasn’t bad, but the service completely overshadowed it. Disorganized, inattentive, and disappointing overall. The tables nearby had delays in their service, and incorrect order items as well, so we know this wasn’t a unique experience to our party. I would recommend their team work with a great manager to streamline the service and communicate with their team and patrons more effectively.
