Setup is pay first and sit wherever.
9/10- We got wu lan ramen and black knight. I got to admit that black knight is better if you want savory broth. The way they marinate the meat, it was sweet like honey.
5/10- For appetitizers, we got karage. The flavor was there but it was not crunchy enough.

One of my must stops when I am in Califfornia. The service and food are always amazing. Highly recommend the fire crackers, pan fried gyoza and the mega pig ramen. Sushi was great as well.

Been coming here regularly since 2016 and this is probably THE best ramen place in all of SD. The food is always delicious, hot, and fresh with sizeable portions. Prices are reasonable, the service is great, and that staff is super friendly. Restaurant is always clean and well maintained with a stylish look to it.

Weekends it is pretty full, but the food is awesome. My favorite in the pictures is the Black Knight with extra Chashu, Eggs, and Onions + a nice drink of delicious Soon Hari Soju.

My favorite Ramen spot. The staff are friendly and very knowledgeable on the menu. My diaghter and I are big fans on the studio ghibli paintings by the bathroom.

I’ve been underwhelmed with the noodle game in North County but Wu Lan is a winner!
We came in because “May Grey” made me want a hot steaming bowl of noodles. They have a great selection of ramen as well as a wonderful selection of sushi.
We had the black knight ramen which had a very thick and savory tonkatsu broth with black garlic oil and extra garlic on top. The veggies included wood ear mushroom and some seaweed. A seasoned egg was extra but totally worth it. The center was perfectly jammy and the white was well seasoned.
My husband had the Mega pig which came in a huge bowl. The portion has 6 pieces of chasu in it, an egg, bamboo shoots, and wood ear mushrooms. It was hot, fresh, and tasty!
We also ordered the sashimi – which for 15$ came as a very generous portion of 6 pieces of hamachi (you get to choose). There was a cute little side of poke that came in the plate which was spicy and well seasoned. The fish quality as well as everything else that we had was very high quality.
We also ordered a pitcher of Sapporo for $16 – I could see us coming back to try all the yummy fried appetizers with a few pitchers and friends!
The staff was absolutely delightful and the lovely woman who took our order was playing a cozy, light hearted island mix.
This is the highest quality ramen / sushi that we have had in North County – and rivals our favorites from San Francisco / San Jose / Convoy. We can’t wait to come back to the amazing food, inviting atmosphere, and great prices!

Wulan Ramen Tap House is hands down one of my favorite spots. The food is amazing every single time. I usually go with the miso ramen, and it never disappoints. The broth is rich and flavorful, the noodles are perfect, and everything just hits right.
But what truly makes this place special is Jeannie, the owner. She’s funny, welcoming, and has a way of making you feel right at home the moment you walk in. You’re not just another customer here, she genuinely connects with people and creates an atmosphere that keeps you coming back.

Genie and her “family run” Wu Lan Ramen is simply the best ramen we have found in San Diego county. The attention to detail on each dish is off the hook perfection. Each style of ramen is spot-on, the firecracker shrimp are delicious and the sushi when available is “On Point.” The staff of servers are efficient, friendly and helpful with questions. The interior is warm and inviting, and well kept! I highly recommend Wu Lan Ramen Tap House! You will not be disappointed! Tom D.

Very good food and if paying with cash, it’s a 10% discount so the prices are reasonable. They also have happy hour specials during the week. My daughter loved the tofu bun. The pork bun was a little too fatty for me. The firecracker shrimp were absolutely delicious and filling, alone. We also had the octopus balls, which were very similar to mash potatoes balls, but extremely enjoyable.
The staff also recommended some orders for next time. We will definitely come back. I also love the atmosphere and decorations.
