Heard about this chain in Arkansas and got the chance to try them on Saturday night at about 7pm. Area was busy with many people there to view the Christmas lights at Lawrence plaza in Bentonville. There was a line that took around 15 mins to get to the front. The shop is small with only room for one pitmaster to cut and serve the BBQ. They were already out of bacon burnt ends so that will have to wait another day to try that. Pricing is a bit steep but in line with most BBQ places nowadays. If you are not hungry you spend about $20-30. I got the 3 meat plate which comes with 2 sides. Spent $35 with tip.
Sliced brisket. Competition style brisket flat neatly trimmed with a good amount of fat cap. Smoke was good. Seasoning was ok. Meat was lean but still tender. I prefer a fatty brisket. They hit all the check marks so I have to approve they make a good brisket. The pitmaster did me a solid and let me double up on the brisket since they had run out of the bacon burnt ends. He gets a gold star for service. Brisket gets an A
Pork ribs. Now here is the star of the show today. Some of the best ribs I have had. They had the perfect doneness where they were between fall off the bone and still retaining their structure. The meat comes off only when you bite into the rib, not when you pick it up. Smoke was good. Flavor was good. Ribs get an A+
They have 3 kinds of house BBQ sauce at the tables. Original, spicy, funky. Tried the funky one with mustard and vinegar and decided it wasn’t for me. The original sweet sauce pairs well with their meats.
Greenbeans. Unusual recipe they have using a honey butter with it. Worth trying as no one else does it. Gets an A
Shells and cheese. Not from a box. The pasta shells were al dente in their own house cheese sauce. Good but nothing special in my opinion. Solid B+
Layout of the restaurant was crammed with little room on the inside, 4 tables I think with most of the room used to accommodate the snaking line to the front counter. They have patio seating but that is not what you want in winter. Not a date night location.

Not the review I wanted to write, honestly. I wanted to give an unquestioned 5 stars. But unfortunately this was not it.
To start with the highlights: credible bbq. The flavor is excellent. The sauces are fantastic. The burger is perfect.
What’s bad: I ordered 0.5 lb of brisket, a pint of mac&cheese, and a burger. The burger and mac&cheese came out as expected. The brisket, which I was looking forward to, did not. Two red flags: (1) my portion was not weighed. 4 orders ahead of me, each got put on a scale. Mine was not. (2) 30-40% of the brisket was fat. We’re talking big chunks of fat, as in the picture. I don’t know why this was the case; maybe it’s a bad cut, maybe the dude serving the meat didn’t like how I look, or maybe that’s what they just do…
I’ll keep going to Wrights. Just not this location. I had a better experience at the Roger’s location.

I ordered the three-meat plate on my first visit to this barbecue spot, and I mentioned it was my first time and that I’m out of state. To my surprise, they threw in an extra order of ribs for free! The food was absolutely delicious. The pulled pork was seasoned perfectly, full of flavor, and the smoked chicken was juicy and well-seasoned too. The brisket was disappointing at a glance because there was a bit of fat on it and I don’t really like fat. But let me tell ya, it absolutely melted in my mouth and changed my view on fat. The sides didn’t disappoint either—the mac and cheese was creamy and satisfying, and the potato salad was tasty. The bonus ribs were tender, juicy, and literally falling off the bone . On top of all that, the barbecue sauces were excellent. All for only about $35. Overall, an amazing experience from start to finish! Added pictures to show the quality of the food to-go and to show the meat falling off the bones. Don’t mind all the food disappearing, it was just that good! (I ate it all by myself, I’m a big back)
And to the dudes who made my food, you guys should absolutely be proud. As a man who is engaged, I might just have to get married in NWA so I can cater Wrights BBQ! Good job.

We love Wright’s. The employees are always really nice. The food is very good. I love the bacon burnt ends. They have really good collard greens. Their other sides are good too- like a whole sweet potato and their baked beans. I would check their hours before you go though. Sometimes they close kind of early, like we went to eat there with friends on a Friday night and they closed at 8 (we got there at 7:54 so we decided to go somewhere else). This location is on the smaller side but we have never had an issue getting a table. There are two different buildings for indoor seating and there’s outdoor seating for nice weather. It can be really popular with cyclists as it’s right next to Compton Gardens and off the square. So many businesses went in and out of this location over the years, so it’s nice that Wright’s came in with some longevity. It’s a yummy restaurant!

Went here for the first time today for lunch. Here’s what I had for lunch:
Two Meat Plate:
Brisket, jalapeño cheddar sausage, collard greens and sweet potatoes with a coke
Aside from the coke, all was mouth watering goodness that was not scolding nor ice cold. I hope to come back here again as they’re hiding in a corner and not on a main road.
Thank you for the fantastic meal!
* the wait time I based off of the line that was in front of me which was a Bentonville Bomb Squad unit of really nice people and there were about six of them.

We love Wright’s! Being from KC brings some tough BBQ competition and Wright’s has been such a consistent spot for us. All their locations are efficient and busy. They are constantly looking for ways to improve and it shows! We love seeing their success. Highly recommend stopping to try!

First time dinner, and being from Memphis I think they did a great job! I just wasn’t a fan of the sauces. The sweet was too sweet, tasted like jelly. I wish the bold, wasn’t so spicy. And the hot was delicious but not as spicy as the bold! We had pulled pork, and pulled pork sandwiches. Sides: greens, shells and cheese, baked beans, deviled egg potato salad and a pint of banana pudding. After eating all that we were stuffed, uncomfortably so. We ate out front on the picnic tables on the deck. It was actually cooler outside than inside. My only concern is that my parents being octogenarians had difficulty carrying their trays with drinks. I stepped-up of course, but the struggle was real. They were busy behind the counter but no assistance was offered and it was almost a calamity.
