This is my favorite hot chicken spot. I am a spice fanatic and I don’t shy away from serious heat. I get the Medium Plus tenders- they’re painful, but in a good way. If it’s your first time there, DONT go straight for the Hot. And if you do, make sure you’ve got milk or pineapple juice handy.
Also, their ranch is far superior to money sauce. No hate on the money sauce, though.

The staff were very respectful, friendly and helpful.
There is seating inside and out.
They were out of wings and Mac and cheese fritters by 2pm, which was a bummer.
I ordered the chicken tenders mild with mac and cheese. The chicken tenders were moist with a perfect crunch, the heat was warm and not overbearing. The Mac and cheese was like noodles in mashed potatoes, it was unique, but the flavor was good.
My husband got the hot hot chicken sandwich with French fries. The fries had a mild dusting of flavor which was great mixed with the ranch dressing. The fried had a nice crunch with a soft center. He said this is the level of heat he expects when there are warnings or cautions, he appreciates actually getting the burn he is promised. Wayyyy too many chicken places claim heat or spice and he doesn’t even tear up.
My only disappointment was the cost, it was $42 for a Sandwich meal and tender meal with 1 drink. I feel like there were up charges not listed or reviewed.

Chicken sandwich was great, really liked the crunchy Cole slaw. Was not crazy about the Mac and cheese but everyone makes Mac and cheese differently. I loved the idea of spicey and sweet but I did not like the texture or the runny cheese. Overall great atmosphere and will be back.

This place was such a vibe!! Food was 10/10 I don’t normally care for chicken n waffles but wow this place made me love it!! The dj was playing banger after banger and we got to sit outside and it was nice having heaters over us while we still go to enjoy the music, our food, and the ambience. I dont go to Indiana often but I’d come back just to eat here again!!!

If I had to sum up the good in one word: Dang! We got the Kids Mac, The Vegetarian Sando, and the Chicken & Waffles. Everything was absolutely delicious. I’m a pretty spicy guy, I went with Mild+ for the Sando to test out the levels, and I’ll definitely be upping the spiciness next time. The fries have a slight kick to them so the kids didn’t enjoy them, but I found them to be awesome. One of the kids got the Southern spice level (lowest) for the Chicken & Waffles. I was a little afraid that it may still have a slight kick (general seasonings can sometimes be too much for them), but they loved it. The waffles were great, and all the chicken was great. The fried were a little soggy as though they sat for a minute, but we ordered takeout and picked up about fifteen minutes before closing so I blame the timing for that. All in all, we will definitely be back. Well worth the price.

Every time I go here it absolutely blows me away. The chicken sando is the best spicy chicken sandwich in Indy. Last time I went I tried the breakfast burrito and despite how good the chicken dando is I just dont know if I can bring myself to order it over the breakfast burrito. Its that good. Its an indy staple. If you’ve not been you absolutely must go.

I want to start this review by saying, I’m not normally a big chicken sandwich fan – but this place changed that.
I was with a group that went, so I tried the mild spicy sandwich and étouffée on the side. Both were INSANELY good. The chicken is tender, flavorful, and crispy on the outside. And the toppings on the sandwich are a perfect complement.
The chicken étouffée was so good too – savory and filling, the perfect side if you need a big meal.
I liked it so much I went back and got the same meal takeout for dinner. I swear it was somehow still just as good as fresh after 1hr in the car
Anyways – absolutely go to Hotboys while you’re in Indy! Even if you don’t think you care for chicken. They will change your mind

That hot chicken was bomb with that ranch. And the fries were soo hot and fresh. The interior is super dope and trippy and they have some great alcoholic beverages. I tried both the alcohol slushy flavors and they were delicious. Very ready to spend a bag again.
