We’ve been to Woody’s at the Monterey Airport and have enjoyed it, so when we heard Woody’s was opening a second location at Del Mesa, 5 minutes from our home, we were excited to try it. First impressions: incredibly attentive staff and great food!! We received a complimentary taster at the beginning of the meal, made with fresh local ingredients, as well as a complimentary ceviche appetizer and a delicious dessert, again made with local ingredients. All of our main courses were excellent. They currently have only wine and beer, no full bar, but that didn’t impact our enjoyment of the evening. Henry, the maitre d’, is super personable as was the rest of the wait staff. We wish them great success.

I have to say, Woody’s at Del Mesa is top notch. We’ve had both lunch and dinner there several times…and tonight’s Thanksgiving menu warranted a 5-star review. We decided to eat at Woody’s for Turkey Day this year, and it was absolutely fantastic. Apple cider-brined turkey, double butter mashed potatoes, brioche stuffing, butternut squash soup, rolls and gravy, roasted brussel sprouts, and pumpkin and apple pies with Chantilly cream. So good. If you haven’t been…you should go.

Their regular menu is unique, and consistently delicious. You won’t regret it! Go!

Food was O.K. I got the Cobb salad, nothing special. My hubby got the clam chowder and Ham & Swiss panini, both were fine. The restaurant is in a senior care living facility which is super weird. Not what I had thought of Woody’s given the airport experience. There was a seating area outside the dining room that felt more like Woody’s but they weren’t seating folks in there. I’d rather go to the airport next time. Not worth the drive up the hill.

Walking into such a calming place that takes you back in time with fabulous service and food is how I would describe this place. I also had the best cheesecake I can remember having, I need to go back for it!

I recently hosted a surprise birthday party for my significant other at Woody’s at Del Mesa, and I cannot recommend this venue highly enough! From the moment we started planning with Jessica, Bryce, and Chef Tim Wood, the experience was nothing short of amazing.
We had a party of 25 people, and Woody’s handled it perfectly! The 9-course meal was exquisite, showcasing excellent food that left everyone raving. Chef Tim is a culinary genius; every dish was crafted to perfection and full of flavor!
The service was also outstanding, with Sorda, Eric, and Bryce going above and beyond to ensure our guests were well taken care of. Their attention to detail and warm hospitality made the evening even more special.
Thank you, Woody’s at Del Mesa, for making our celebration unforgettable. We’ll undoubtedly be returning for more incredible experiences in the future!

The Shrimp Louie salad was one of the BEST I’ve had in 30 years. It had fresh lettuce from an artisan farm and light dressing. Pickled red onion that has to be homemade with wonderful Italian olives. It wasn’t that box baby green salad restaurants throw on plates that gets wilted. My mom had the beet salad and added perfectly cooked steak for an extra $9. Cheesecake was light and strawberry sauce divine. The people are spoiled that live here. It’s not a tourist trap. My only complaint: main room and bar entrance needs a better clean to reflect the excellent food.

Just outstanding all the way around! Chef Tim and his incredible crew have manifested magic at this lovely dining room. Service is always on point with a great seasoned team – thank you Peggy, Terri, Sarda, Eric, Ray, and the always effervescent Jennifer. And let’s not forget Bryce their manager who is on top of everything… go say hi to Chef Tim who is often greeting guests in his inimitable style.

And the food? It’s impeccable, creative and tasty! Honestly the Wedge Salad is the best I’ve ever had. Their dishes are ample and hearty. There’s no skimping on quality or quantity.

Thank you Woody’s for making every dining or bar experience so fun!

One of my favorite go to’s. Whether it’s for a special occasion or a Sunday night dinner. The staff is always super friendly, Chef Tim and Sonny do phenomenal job and always offering local seasonal dishes. Bryce is very welcoming and takes a lot of pride in his guests. A must try if you’re in the area!
