Woodson’s has the feel of a sports bar with many TVs everywhere, and very good food. My friend and I went for lunch; you seat yourself. Haley was our server and was great. We started out with a fried pickle appetizer. I thought that they were too crisp, with some smaller ones only having the crisp batter. My friend ordered 2 pounds of crawfish boil. They were decent size and he liked them, ordering not spicy. Then we both ordered the ten bone-in wings, double fried. He had 5 cajun rub and 5 Parmesan garlic; while I ordered half teriyaki and half just a ranch rub . Haley brought mine out, but there were only 4 of each. She said she still owed me two. When she came back, there was a plate of 5 rub and two teriyaki. I took home half of both plates. Haley was very attentive and checked with us several times.

We visited Woodson’s yesterday, Oct 17, 2025, for a late lunch, early dinner. Tony wanted a burger so we thought we would slide into this local fav and give it a whirl! Man, on man, are we glad we did! Such a great spot! Let’s start with first impressions – they have a dog friendly, spacious outdoor patio seating area! Their only request is that dogs be leashed makes sense to me, cause these are some killer burgers and I could see a food-napping taking place otherwise. So, come one, come all – just leash your dog
Inside is super chill and inviting. While it is a “bar” technically, made very clear by everything centering around a well-equipped, fully stocked bar – it’s really an all around accommodating restaurant. I would feel totally comfortable bringing the family here during the not-so-busy, not late hours – they’re definitely set up with everyone in mind, which I love! Plenty of seating around the bar – 360 degrees! Plenty of tables as well and I didn’t count the TV’s mounted on the walls because I ran out of fingers and toes – so, sports fans – this is your place! I almost broke my neck watching the Formula One races while we ate. There’s a view available to anyone from literally any seat in the house which is super impressive!
Our server was Alissa and she was OUTSTANDING! Of course – I had to quiz her about her favs on the menu and she was so willing to indulge my greedy little self – cause I love food and I hate to have to decide on just one thing, so I want it to be the best choice possible…lol. And this girl knew the menu, which speaks volumes!
I went with the new Smashburger & fries – SOOOOOOOOO GOOD! The bun was something special – which is often overlooked in the art of burgers, so hats off to Woodson’s for attention to detail. And it didn’t stop there. The cheddar cheese was super yummy – and the perfect thickness of smoky cheddar, melted! Thick slices of red onion (such a nice touch), amazing small batch, thick pickles that were superb! And the FRIES touched my foodie heart! They’re just special – perfectly fried, battered just different, I searched my description database and that’s the best word for it – “special” (see photos for a better description, but I ate as many as I could fit in my belly) and the ENTIRE burger. I did my level best to make a truly happy plate but I stopped short of a few fries – it is what it is ‍♀️
Tony went with the American and he couldn’t finish it! A half pound patty – cooked to order (he’s a medium kinda guy and it was cooked perfectly). He gave the same report on his burger and fries! We had no room to test out anything else but we have plans to return soon!
The ticket was just over $30! Like WHAT?!? So we gave the rest of what it was really worth to Alissa with grateful little glutinous hearts and left fat full!
The entire place is super clean – the crowd is chill & friendly. Overall – an awesome addition to the eatery options in this area!

Service was absolutely horrendous. We sat with 2 out of 3 of our plates in front of us for 10 minutes with no silverware. We were finally able to flag down a waitress from another section to bring us silverware but by that time our food was cold. When the third plate finally arrived (chicken fried steak), the corn was burnt. I know the waitress saw the black kernels so I have no idea why she still served the plate. We will definitely not be back here.

The artichoke dip was the best I’ve ever had (is that Ricotta?), the smash burger was juicy, the bun toasted to perfection, the fish and chips were cod, hot, crisp, and the breading stayed on. The coleslaw was fresh and bright, and uniquely outstanding. Our waitress was friendly, knowledgeable, came by to check on us just the right amount of times, and brought our food quickly while it was still piping hot. Kudos to the chef and the whole team.

Had a great experience at Woodson’s Local Kitchen in Woodland. The food came out hot and fresh, and everything we ordered tasted great. The atmosphere was laid back and comfortable, perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal.

Lindsey was our server and she did an awesome job. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. You can tell she cares about giving good service.

Definitely would come back again.

Stopped by Woodson’s Local Kitchen and had a really solid experience. The place has a great vibe clean, welcoming, and not overly loud. It’s the kind of spot you can go for a casual dinner but still feel like you’re somewhere nice.

Lindsey took care of us and was excellent. She was quick, attentive, and genuinely friendly. Drinks stayed full, food came out on time, and she checked in just enough to make sure everything was good.

Overall, great food and even better service. I’d definitely recommend it and will be back.

We had such a good experience at Woodson’s in Conroe, and it was 100% because of how good the food was and server, Mayson. She was genuinely one of the best servers we’ve had in a long time. From the second we sat down, she was friendly, confident, and just had the best attitude. It didn’t feel forced at all she just has that natural energy that makes you feel welcome!

She made great suggestions (we ended up getting the giant pretzel and some crawfish both were so good), but what really stood out was how on top of everything she was. The pretzel and crawfish were both really good and came out hot, so the kitchen definitely did their part too. Drinks never sat empty, checked in at the perfect times, and somehow balanced being attentive without hovering.

It felt like she actually cared that we were having a good time. The pretzel was perfectly salted and the crawfish had great flavor, so between the food and the service it was an easy 5 stars.
You can tell she takes pride in what she does. Woodson’s is already a fun spot, but Mayson honestly made the night. If you go, ask for her she’ll take care of you (and the crawfish).

We’ll definitely be back.

Had a really good experience at Woodson’s Local Kitchen. The food was on point and came out fast, and everything tasted fresh and well made. The atmosphere was relaxed but still had a nice energy to it.

Lindsey was our server and she was great. Super friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience easy. She stayed on top of everything without us ever having to ask.

Overall just a smooth, enjoyable dinner. Definitely a spot I’d come back to.

On February 25. 2026 my wife and I went to Woodson’s located on FM1488, The Woodlands, Texas for dinner, we entered the business and the hostess greeted us and asked if we want to sit at a high table or low table, I told her low table and she led us to one in the middle of the right side of the restaurant and said someone will be along shortly. There appeared to be one waitress working that area with maybe 3-4 tables with people at them. During the next 10 minutes or so the hostess seated two additional couples after us and then the waitress went to a couple that had been seated last, totally ignoring us and gave them menus, flatware and took their drink order never even looking at us who were seating at the next table. No one paid any mind to us so after seeing the lack of customer service for 10 minutes I said it is time to go. I can’t comment on anything but the poor service as we never had a chance to try the food.
