The food was just not good, and way too salty for the most part. The lamb ribs were overcooked/burnt and too greasy, the tuna tartare is plain/stale, the steak tartare was very underwhelming, the squid ink casarecce was just flat out bad. The duck breast was okay. We did enjoy the fluke crudo, the short ribs and the dark chocolate pistachio torte, with the short ribs being the only standout.

Our server was friendly but seemed to be reciting from a script.

To make matters worse, we discovered a few days later that all our credit cards were overcharged by about $100 each because our server mistakenly entered the total amount as the tip. We had a minor scare and had to call to get our cards refunded. The manager did handle the refunds very quickly.

The food was beautiful and delicious. For appetizers, we tried the whipped feta dip and local bluefin tuna. The tuna was excellent—they used watermelon instead of avocado, and it totally worked. We didn’t like the feta dip as much. It had yellow beet and watermelon, which were tasty, but overall it wasn’t a standout.

For the main course, I ordered the grass-fed beef. It was very good, though the flavor was slightly off in a way I can’t quite explain—I still enjoyed it nonetheless.

The drinks were also excellent, and we loved them.

We had the best experience here for our date night. We sat at the bar and had delicious drinks and entrees. We ordered BUCATINI ALL’AMATRICIANA and the DRY AGED DUCK BREAST. Everything was fresh and flavorful. The portion sizes are smaller than I am used to therefore you may want to order more. I can not wait to go back!

I’ve been here many times and always have a great experience. The service is consistently fantastic, and the dishes always are changing to highlight new season flavors. It is clear how much thought and care goes into the menu. They keep expanding which is exciting to see and a testament to how good they are.

I would avoid this restaurant. I went to this restaurant for the first time with two friends because it had been nominated on the Michelin Guide. Each of our bills was supposed to be $116 without tips, but we were charged $213 individually afterward. We had to call the restaurant and request a refund. They did give use the refund immediately. Overall, the food was average for the portion and price, squid ink pasta tastes like store brought, not freshly made, and our waiter was extremely socially awkward, and the other waitress was not friendly at all, no smile, which made us feel uncomfortable. The second round of drinks took over half an hour for them to bring over, we had to keep asking. I will not go back again.

We enjoyed the dinner on the pier, watching the port. The service was excellent, and the server had a good sense of humor. The drinks were well done, tasty, and nicely decorated. The food was good, but not extraordinary; at least the pappardellle as I expected more flavor from the braised rabbit. All other dishes were tasty and had a good presentation. Would try it again.

My first visit to Woods Hill on Pier 4 in Boston – and everything was absolutely exquisite. There were three of us – and we shared the Caviar Experience, which was a first for all of us. And it got better from there.

The service, the variety of food, the service throughout the meal (I couldn’t empty my water no matter how hard I tried).

When you come – you will enjoy the amazing flavors, the wonderful variety from a farm to table restaurant.

Could very well be in my top 10 of meals I’ve ever eaten!
