We have ordered I from Woodro several times over the past 2 months and I must say, the food is better than any deli in the area. Chicken soup amazing, matzoh balls the best kasha varnishes superb. I can’t say enough. Looking forward to our next order

Went to return the item and refused to take it back was told there was nothing wrong with it…the owner Gary is rude and not accommodating….
Spent $25 for the chopped liver
Will never go back…..
Lido deli is far superior….more accommodating, nicer atmosphere…and the food is outstanding!!!!!

My family and I went to Woodro Deli for Mother’s Day. Allan was our server and he made it a wonderful experience. He was professional, patient and kind. Our family thoroughly enjoyed the food, atmosphere and service. Compliments to the cef, and also to Allan. Thanks for making it a very special lunch for us.

I have been a patron of Woodro Kosher Restaurant for over two decades, but my recent experience was deeply disappointing and has compelled me to share this review.
Feeling unwell, I called to order a simple soup 37 minutes before closing. The owner refused to take my order over the phone, insisting I come in person due to concerns about late pickups. Upon arrival, I mentioned that his phone demeanor was rude, hoping for an apology. Instead, he became increasingly hostile, throwing my soup containers into a bag with evident frustration.
This isn’t my first unpleasant encounter at Woodro, but it is certainly the most notable. The quality of the food has declined significantly, and with such unprofessional behavior from the owner, I can no longer support this establishment. It’s disheartening to see a place I’ve frequented since childhood deteriorate in this manner.
I will be taking my business elsewhere, to a restaurant that values its customers and maintains the quality and service standards that Woodro once had.
This sentiment is echoed by other patrons who have noted similar experiences with the owner’s rudeness and declining food quality.

The sandwiches were delicious. The pastrami was lean as requested but not at all dry and so tender. Same for the brisket. Potato pancakes were moist inside and crispy brown outside. The brown Gravy a perfect consistency and so flavorful. The waitress and everyone behind the counter were friendly. I must say though, it was Def a bit on the warm side. I guess the ac couldn’t keep up with the high humidity today. Overall a great lunch! I’d say Def try it
