We were recommended to Woodpeckers by several people and we had an overall good experience. I got the ribs and lean brisket because it was all that’s left. These were the best spare ribs I have ever had. The brisket was good but nothing special next time I would probably stick to the pulled pork. The sides left a little to be desired. The Mac you could tell had been sitting all day and was mushy and the beans got the job done. The staff was awesome and the place was very cool. But if you are looking for the best BBQ in town I’m not sure if it’s here. Don’t get me wrong very good experience though.

First off we enjoyed the roosters they were actually sweet. Decor is cool. We tried the brisket a mix of lean and fatty, ribs, sausage, collard greens, coleslaw, and Mac and cheese. Collards we’re good ribs were good and my dad liked the sausage and coleslaw. The bread was prob the best thing though! The brisket was talked up by a friend and we were excited to try it, and it was dry and they gave me real burnt pieces not burnt ends I don’t use bbq sauce on a good brisket and I had to use it on this one. Also the Mac and cheese was average. Probably won’t go there again as me and my dad both had bad upset stomachs after our meal. Total for both of us to eat and share with a toddler including tip was about $50.

Super cute place! Seating inside and out..if you choose outside be ready to have chickens as your neighbors! They are cute and friendly..for chickens! Great flavors, good portions and prices are reasonable. Opens at 11am and packed by noon!

What a great lil BBQ joint! I had the two meat combo with ribs and turkey, with corn on the cob and coleslaw. It was a lot of food! Everything was yummy. If I had to say one bad thing it would be the coleslaw was a little tangier than I prefer, but it was still good. The service was friendly and fast. They do run out of things so be prepared for options. Look for the rooster!

Very friendly staff provides great service and GREAT food. If you like good BBQ you will LOVE this place. Most of the folks sitting around me were regulars that knew the wait staff and the owner and they knew them. I had ribs and brisket. It was amazing! I will be coming back.

My fiancé Tristan and I were visiting St Augustine Aquarium and one of the employees there recommended us to come here for some food. Menu was small but the food was amazing and for such a good price! We will be coming back when we return to the area from Tampa in July.

We were there with a party of six. The food was great, get there early if you want dessert. The sides, beans and cornbread are great, the Mac & Cheese is OK. The staff is very friendly and excellent when it comes to service. Inside and outside dining available. To Go Orders around the front of the building.
