Restaurant featuring upscale American fare (burgers, salmon, rib-eye) & live jazz nightly.

Woodmont Grill holds a special place in my heart and my family’s heart. A very special person in our lives passed away 15 years ago. We would frequent Houstons on the pike, and the Woodmont Grill. Our friend was a definite “foodie” and his love for the Woodmont Grill was unmistakable. In honor of his life, we visit the Woodmont Grill annually, and at other times as well. Their delicious food, friendly and attentive service never disappoints. Our server last night was particularly amazing. We left full of great food, and a wonderful feeling after our visit.

One of my favorite restaurants in downtown Bethesda. If you are a vegetarian definitely try their veggie burger! It’s 10/10 incredible. I’ve enjoyed the sushi and tuna as well but we always get the massive Veggie burger!

This place has been around for a very long time, maybe over 30 years. It’s still one of the classiest places in Bethesda for lunch and dinner. For all this time, they always have their spinach dip, ribs and Houston’s Hawaiian ribeye on their menu and for good reason. Whenever I come here for dinner, you can count on me ordering spinach dip to start and having either the ribs or Houston’s Hawaiian ribeye. Now, I wish they didn’t get rid of their fries and loaded baked potato, not sure what their logic is behind that. It’s not like potatoes are expensive.
For lunch, I really like their crispy chicken sandwich and cheeseburger.
Now, I wish once in a while they would bring back some of my past favorite dishes like their club sandwich, hickory burger and baked potato soup. One could only wish.

Overall Rating: 5.00: One of my fav restaurants in Bethesda. While Hillstone is a chain restaurant, the outstanding service and Hugh quality freshly prepare food is an experience. 1. French Dip au Jus: Served on a toasted house-made French roll filled with thinly sliced USDA prime rib and accompanied by savory au jus for dipping.
2. House-made Veggie Burger : Crafted from black beans, rice, jalapeños, molasses-coated with a crunchy sweet exterior, and pink-hued filled center. Best veggie burger I’ve ever had with yummy sting fries.
3. Double‑Cut Pork Chop: Cured in‑house, with whipped potatoes (tomato’s substituted) and braised red cabbage. Fall‑off‑the‑bone tender deliciousness.
4. Spinach Dip: Amazing, freshly prepared spinach dip with salsa, sour cream and tortilla chips beyond the usual bread or chips.
If you’re craving an elevated, hearty, and richly savory food, Woodmont Grill at Hillstone is a standout choice. Outstanding service including open bar and sushi bar. I’m confident you won’t be disappointed.

Swung by for happy hour earlier this week and was very impressed by the service, cleanliness, food/drink options, and decor. Their GM, Rose, was awesome and constantly checked in on us and surrounding tables (even though she wasn’t our server). The menu is largely seafood, although they have other options for non-seafood lovers.
The location is in a lovely part of Bethesda next to a big parking garage, hotels, and several other restaurants.
Hope to be back soon!

Had a really nice experience here. Had reservation for 730 and although we waited for our table for 20 minutes, manager made up for it by giving us a starter on the house. From there service and food were outstanding. Must try au jus ribeye sandwich! This place is always packed. A nice Bethesda stable.

Enjoyed a late lunch at Woodmont Grill. The food was amazing and enough for two meals. We enjoyed dessert with homemade fudge!!! Our waiter Ryan was top notch. I marked the atmosphere down one star because a woman was speaking very loudly at the table next to me. Overall the experience was fantastic and I’m sure I’ll meet up again here with friends

Locals know that Woodmont Grill takes precedence over most other Bethesda dining establishments for two reasons: Consistency and Quality. The service is impeccable; the food is delicious and no one cares about the price because it never disappoints. Menu items of Note: the Hawaiian Ribeye, Rotisserie Chicken, Tabbouleh, and the Coleslaw side. YES Coleslaw. I have never once liked slaw in my life until last weekend at Woodmont. Sub in the Tabbouleh if you order the Rotisserie Chicken Entree- you won’t be disappointed!
Cocktails were as creative, visually-appealing and had perfectly-balanced ingredients! I “took a risk” and ordered a cocktail made with green grapes and LOVED it! So refreshing!
I prefer the bar. Regulars keep to themselves but are friendly is spoken to. The bartenders are prompt and ensure a pleasant dining experience, even if you are alone. Treat yourself TODAY!
Tip: Bar gets crazy busy and by 6:00PM – regardless of what day- there are never seats left and people end up waiting so try to get in there by 5:00 to ensure yourself a fantastic meal without the wait!!

First, Woodmont is always lovely at anytime of the day! I’ve been going to the Bethesda location for 30+ years (Georgetown since the 90s) and it’s my family’s all time favorite. From being greeted, to being seated the ambiance, the servers, food and drinks, and management, it’s alway the perfect experience from start to finish. Last night Alyssa was our server and she was just perfect all the way around! Just delightful! Very professional, pleasant and attentive. During our time there we started with shrimp cocktail and spinach and artichoke dip and jack rabbit cocktails. For our entrees we both had the Hawaiian steak, pomme purée, braised red cabbage and creamed corn to share. All cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious!

Honestly one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. The atmosphere is fabulous, the service 5 star (thanks to Drew!), and the food supreme. We ordered a tuna sushi dish, a seared tuna salad and the spinach dip for appetizers and they did not disappoint. For mains we opted for steak and ribs and they were some of the best I’ve tasted. Oh and get a portion of the fries— their special seasoning is something else. Highly recommend. I’ll have to go back for dessert, sadly too full this time around!
