The food took a good 10 minutes as well. The Vegan Thaali which should have been the most simplest meal to serve and come out of kitchen. The food itself was a bit bland for our taste in seasonings. The spice level was low which is OK, but salt was too low. Surprisingly no pickle was served which could have solved both shortcomings. The Chappatis were OK and were not super fresh.
The Vegan Masala Dosa took even longer to come out which was more surprising for us well. A South Indian restaurant normally the dosas are one of the quickest to come out. The dosa was also unevenly cooked – one side was well done, middle was perfect and the other side a little under done. Chutneys and sambhar were good.
Their definition of vegetarian states that there is no dairy which is incorrect and vegan talks about eggs or meat but does not include any mentions of dairy.
The mysore masala dosa and special masala idli slaps.
2 pax ate for HKD 320
There is also a separate vegan menu, although I believe most the dishes are vegan already? Or maybe ghee is used in some of them, but I’m sure if you ask for vegan they’ll accommodate.
This was the best Vegetarian indian meal we ate. We ended up ordering 3 again from them via food panda app.
The food quality, taste, service everything was excellent.
It’s a little on the expensive side compared to the other local smaller indian restaurants but totally worth it.
Must visit place.
A must-visit for authentic vegetarian Indian food in Hong Kong! The menu is incredibly diverse, offering everything from crispy South Indian dosas to rich Punjabi curries and flavorful street-style chaat. Everything tasted fresh and hit the right spot.
Very welcoming and cozy atmosphere—perfect for a family meal or a casual dinner with friends.
What stood out most was the staff’s deep understanding of flavor, texture, and sequencing. They don’t just take an order. They help you build a selection where each dish supports the next. Crispy with soft, bright with grounding, spicy with cooling, and nothing that accidentally works against what you’ve already chosen. You can tell they’re thinking about the entire sensory arc from the first bite to the last.
They also showed an extraordinary level of awareness around dietary needs. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, Jain, allium free, and other restrictions were handled with confidence and clarity, not hesitation. It felt less like a list of limitations and more like a creative framework they were excited to work within.
The restaurant sits on an upper level of a mall, but once inside it’s bright and calm, with lots of windows, simple décor, and a comfortable, unpretentious atmosphere that lets the food and conversation lead. Many of the diners around me were Indian, which always feels like the quietest and best endorsement.
Even for meat eaters, this is a destination. The depth of flavor and especially the paneer dishes make it feel complete and satisfying without any sense of something missing. This is not “good for vegetarian food.” It is just genuinely good food, thoughtfully composed.
It is an elevated experience without the ego. Thoughtful, flavorful, and refreshingly unpretentious.
Chili Panneer ($90)
Indo-Chinese appetizer where crisp batter fried panned is tossed in slightly sweet, spicy, hot and tangy sauce. You can choose the level of spiciness.
Masala Dosa ($75)
Paper-thin Crispy pancake filled with mashed potatoes and mixed spices and served with two sauces. It’s a wow factor to bring it on a big table! Personally I like this more than Chapati.
Alu Gobi Masala ($75)
Whole roasted cauliflower with crispy potatoes and a mildly spiced lenti based curry. It’s a approachable for people who prefer less spicy food.
