Cramped Space, Underwhelming Brunch

We visited Woodinville Café hoping for a relaxing brunch, but the experience was far from comfortable. The dining area was extremely compact—tables were so close together that it was difficult to eat without bumping elbows with the person next to you. It genuinely made cutting into our omelets a challenge, which took away from the enjoyment of the meal.

We ordered the veggie omelet and the make-your-own omelet. Unfortunately, neither stood out. The flavors were bland, and the cramped seating made it hard to focus on the food. What could have been a pleasant brunch turned into a frustrating experience simply because of the lack of space and average food.

The staff was polite, but the overall setup made it hard to relax or enjoy the meal. If you’re looking for a cozy brunch spot, this might not be the best fit unless you’re okay with very tight quarters.

Stopped in for my first visit today at Woodinville Cafe. The inside of the restaurant is designed to look like an old school diner from the decor to the booth seating. U was sat quickly and I promptly ordered an eggs Benedict, traditional style. The sauce was rich and buttery, eggs poached skillfully, and the hash browns had a nice crispy exterior. I would absolutely come back.

Great little diner.

Corned Beef Hash with Sunny side up egg – chopped corned beef hash instead of the canned one. It was good other than the beef being too tough and chewy.

Chicken fried steak- crispy fried and gravy was yummy. Came with a biscuit and gravy on the side. Biscuit are usually dried and dense This place’s biscuit is fluffy and very tasty. Think of it as the croissant but in biscuit form. Highly recommended

I was there two Wednesdays ago .. and forgot the name of the person who served us. I remember their face and how kind, accommodating, professional and proficient they were at their job. 12/10!

We never felt rushed even though they probably should have laid the pressure down since idk how long it took me to realize there was quite a healthy line of people waiting.

We both ordered from the reasonably priced and still fair portion of food of the early bird specials~

Found the perfect refuge from the Seattle rain at Woodinville Cafe this morning. We arrived just before 10:00 AM and beat the rush, getting seated immediately.
One of the best perks here is the all-day menu—I’m a firm believer in ‘lunch for breakfast,’ so being able to order a fantastic Reuben first thing in the morning was a huge win. The food was top-notch and the perfect fuel before a day of wine tasting.
Logistics-wise, it’s a breeze: plenty of parking and easy access. The host and waitstaff were incredibly welcoming and efficient. If you’re heading to the wineries, this is the best place to start your day. Highly recommended!

I will go back to try breakfast again, but won’t have the Briskets and Gravy. The Briskets tasted good, but weren’t what you expect with Gravy. Very thick and soft like bread, no crunch. The gravy was very thick and unfortunately cold when served, I suggest more milk to thin it a little.

We arrived early enough to avoid the usual long wait, but by the time we left, the line had started forming—definitely a sign of a popular spot!

I’m very particular about my gravy, so I appreciated that our server graciously let us sample it before ordering. It had real flavor—not just flour and pepper—so we went ahead and shared the biscuits and gravy with eggs. You also get a choice of four bacon or four sausage, and we were able to split two of each. The portions are huge—plenty for the two of us, and honestly, still more than we could finish!

The food came out quickly, the staff was incredibly friendly, and the service was top-notch. The decor is super cute, giving off that old-school café vibe that feels warm and welcoming. If you love classic diners with great food and a cozy atmosphere, I’d definitely recommend Woodinville Café.

Thank you for the great service! We’ll be back.

Putting aside that it took 45min to get a table, it was a great place to eat. The food was tasty, great portions, good options and something for everyone. I had the hobo special, which I really enjoyed. The service was also great! I’m normally not crazy about diners but this one is better than most. I would go again assuming I go earlier to beat the crowds.

Good food for the money with classic retro diner styling. I’m sure it’s well frequented by locals. This traveler had good food for reasonable price at lunch. Large portions. Took my 97 year old mom and staff was so sweet to her, rollator and all. Will be back!

We saw this place many times and decided to give it a try. Wait times are long, we waited about 30-40 min so getting on the waitlist is recommended.

We walked in and were BLOWN away. The interior looks like a train, and we felt as if we were in the dining car of a real train! The food was absolutely delicious! Bold move to serve banana bread with eggs, but it was delicious.

The biggest takeaway was the fruit cup. Instead of cantaloupe and melon (which personally I don’t like) in a little plastic cup it was a REAL bowl with strawberries, bananas and blueberries.

5 stars.
