We had fresh bread come out with homemade butter and habenero sauce. The sauce is addictive, if you like hot sauce, and they do sell it in a bottle. My husband ordered the 14oz ribeye pepper steak with a peppercorn sauce and potatoes. It was good. I ordered the jerk chicken with plantains and roasted corn. The jerk chicken was good but I’ve had way better. The plantains were disappointing. It wasn’t really sweet but was crunchy. The roasted corn was tiny but tasted good. I do have to rave about the waitstaff. They were on top of things and extremely helpful. For dessert we tried the coconut creme brulee which hit the spot and was something I would definitely come back just for dessert. The banana bread pudding and rum cake were average IMHO. The plating was impressive.

I was told that this is a Brother and Sister Duo owned and operated restaurant with a decor flare/food flavor inspired by/of their culture. I was able to enjoy part of the lunch menu which was delicious. I ordered the veggie burger (they make it themselves and list the ingredients on the menu). It was flavorful and one of the better ones that I have ever had. You could tell real ingredients were used by the bits of finely chopped veggies. Topped with lettuce tomato and onions and a roasted red pepper sauce. Comes with a side and I went with the fried plantains. They were thick and seasoned well fried to perfection. Highly recommended. Strawberry lemonade and water to drink. I shared the molten lava cake for dessert. Well worth the wait time of (21-30 minutes) to get since everything is prepared to order. This moist chocolate cake drizzled with caramel and ooey gooey chocolate on the inside came prepared with a side of vanilla bean ice cream and garnish of raspberry and strawberry. The perfect ending to a delightful lunch. I wish I would have explored the atmosphere of the place a little more (I typically walk around and see what the whole restaurant looks like, this time I only went from the front door to our table) but what I did see was nice with it’s splash of color. The host that greeted us was pleasant and friendly as well as the waitress that took care of us and everyone who said goodbye as we left.

Sisserou’s Caribbean – A refreshing location in the heart of Tulsa’s arts district. Walking distance from the Center of the Universe, Brady Theatre, and the Guthrie Green. While parking was a little precarious on a Thursday night, we were able to find a hole on the west side. Stepping in the front door was easy and simple. The hotesses stand was back from the door some 20 feet. The lights were low and soft jazz was playing in the back ground. We were seated immediately. No, we did not have reservations. Again the atmosphere was easily complimentary to the restful feelings we enjoy. Daniel was our waiter. He presented the menu, features, and specialties like he wrote the menu himself. True pride echoed in his words. I could go on with the building of the ease and space, but let’s get to the important stuff. The menu offered options across the palette. I opted of the Veggie burger, while my lady chose the chicken and tri-pasta. Additions included fresh mini-loafs and water from a grolsch bottle. My lady thoroughly enjoyed her selection. I can not offer her option, other than to say she loved it. The veggie burger I received was on a toasted bun with sesame seeds additional accents included slide tomatoes, sliced red onions and avocado. The burger flavours were amazing. I could not finish my meal. The sauce was exquisite and dripping. NOT excessive. Even the day after the leftovers were well received. A MUST do for Tulsa dining.

Popped in while I was in Tulsa, because it was close, highly rated and a James Beaes award winning chef. It did not disappoint! I had the chicken curry, which had the perfect blend of spice, spicy and sweet! The chicken was tender, the rice perfect and the potatoes even tasted a little sweet. I got the house made ginger beer — light, refreshing, non-alcoholic.
I saved a few bites to take home to my husband and I WILL be back to try….everything else!
Good service, pretty casual vibe, parking available.

LOVED THIS PLACE! It was my first coming and the food + service was phenomenal!!! As someone in the industry it feels great to know someone is as passionate. Rah was amazing and we loved her!
We got beef patty’s, the couples tomahawk steak, a few cocktails and desserts. It’s pricey but most definitely worth the money.
The experience, setting and food quality made it worth everything.
10/20 will be back for special occasions. Thank you sm for the such for making a server feel cared for, it’s hard now n days to feel equally as cared for in this industry.
Like I said 10/20 recommend this place!

This restaurant was such a vibe — very nice and chill with amazing food. I had the jerk chicken wings with baked mac and cheese and rice and beans. They gave me a special sauce for the rice and beans, and it made them so flavorful. They also had an avocado dipping sauce, which I thought was unique but surprisingly delicious. I tried the lobster thermidor too and dipped the bread they served in it — so good! The food was a solid 10/10, and my waitress was super nice and friendly.

Pretty fantastic. Plantains were crispy, habanero sauce was stunningly delicious, the jerk chicken was tasty and had great portions, and even the rice and beans was incredible in and of itself. Free homemade bread with butter to start the meal was great.

Exemplary! Do not sleep on the Doubles – that is one of THE best foods I’ve ever eaten, even after touring Texas’ best. If you like sweet, flavored “rums” but want to find something without the artificial ingredients, take a tip from the owner and try out Black Tot blended rum! Rah was an excellent and fashionable waitress! Like The Hemingway, everything was made with quality ingredients and authentic enough to delight our CEO guest. An instant Favorite! ❤️
