Generally good food for lunch or dinner, and great food *for a pub*. It’s definitely a Hillsborough staple, and the buffalo wings are a solid choice, with the brie and fig burger, a close second. We also really enjoy the fries and pink sauce, but suggest asking for the fries slightly underdone otherwise you just getting a bunch of crispy husks.

I would try to avoid it on busy nights, and if you’re going to sit inside, know that it is very very loud. The service is very fast paced and low touch, not very personal unless you catch them in a down moment.

The outdoor seating is pretty weird height, and not great for kids, and the inside is very loud and has TVs, so that’s up to you as to whether it’s a good with kids or not ha!

The service and the attention given were great! The atmosphere was light and I could actually hear myself think.
I scoffed at the idea of a $16 mushroom Swiss burger but I was hungry and they hand cut fries. And I learned my burger got its humble beginnings on a farm just north of where I would end up chewing on it. I still hate the price , but it tasted good. I’m not a big salt person and that may be my only issue with the fries.
My old fashioned, while not on a single rock, was what I needed.

Spent part of the day in Hillsborough for a special event. Had lunch here. Excellent choice. It is noisy, but it is from everyone having an enjoyable time. We actually were able to catch a seat at Kim’s bakery (a must try for baked goods) after their hours. Follow on Facebook for daily specials. There were three of us. They provide water in cute decanters emblazoned with their logo. Two of us don’t imbibe, the other person rarely does. Although, we did not get any alcohol, they have a great selection that would complement any menu item. One ordered the classic burger with fries. Cooked perfectly and juicy. He stated that was the tastiest, freshest burger he has ever eaten and his fries were hot and fresh too. My other friend ordered off the special. She got the Ribeye cheese steak like it comes minus the A1. She also got fries. She stated the steak was cooked to perfection and loved her fries. I got the truffle burger. The burger was cooked just like the other one perfect, fresh, and juicy. The arugula was peppery, the onions caramelized, and the truffle aioli tasty. The guyere was ooey gooey goodness. One of the top burgers I have ever eaten. I got the cucumber salad. The best seasoned cukes I have ever put in my mouth. The Mexican coke was the finishing touch.

We stopped in last night on a friend’s recommendation for burgers. I ordered wings for an appetizer. The wings were just fair. They were heavily breaded and I’m not a fan of breaded wings. It’s dark inside the restaurant and I didn’t see that on the menu. On to the burgers. I had the fried egg burger and my wife had the mushroom and Swiss burger. They were both very tasty, fresh toppings and the bun held up well. The fresh cut fries were the star of the show. They have a very good beer and spirits selection. I had a hazy IPA and my wife had a brown ale, both were very good. The service was excellent and the food came out 10 minutes or less after we ordered. I’d go back, skip the wings and try a different appetizer. The burgers are solid. The noise level inside is VERY LOUD.

Super cool place with an awesome menu and great beers! The wings are crispy (which is important ) and the seasonal beers have a really good selection to choose from. Staff works hard and are friendly!

We went there for the hamburgers and they were good. French fries were so so. It’s more of a watering hole, bar type atmosphere. If you order a Coke, it comes in a bottle, no glass or ice. Kind of felt like they didn’t care if I was there or not. Probably my only trip to this place. Sorry I didn’t take pictures at this stop.

Small place on main road through town. Local eatery with farm to table concept. Had the special, Bourbon Bacon Burger. Bourbon bacon jam, Monterey Jack cheese, pickled red onions, mustard, lettuce. It was delicious! Sat outside on sidewalk like café tables. It was very refreshing.

Great atmosphere with outdoor seating, the interior has a wonderful old time feel to it. The servers all check on you, but on busy days you may have to flag them down and they will attend your needs right away. The food is great too. They rotate different breweries around the country and we had some brews from Hawaii and another location, they were very good. Definitely stop by if you’re in town. Ohio State Buckeyes are definitely welcome.

Visiting from the UK and brought here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. I loved this place! Dark wood interior, cool retro artwork and out-front seating. We were going to sit outside but thankfully found a corner seat indoors.

Great selection of ales & beers on tap; I think I had the export lager. The chicken wings were huge and tasty, although I’m guessing they had been pumped-up on steroids. (This appears to still be acceptable in the USA.) The garlic skinny fries were covered with freshly crushed garlic. (I personally loved them, but they’re a little antisocial.)

The place was suddenly very busy with a good atmosphere. The staff were very busy yet attentive. Most definitely my favourite pub/bar in North Carolina!
