We went a week ago with friends and family. Right off the bat, that perfect Wisconsin bar atmosphere. The bar tender and staff were down to earth and added to the bar vibes. Then comes the food. We ordered onion rings, deep fried pickles and jalapeño poppers. Every single one of them were 10/10. Then came my chicken Philly. One of my buddies ordered the beef Philly and we split traded it with my chicken Philly. I can say with confidence that it was best Philly I’ve ever had. We will make sure to come back here every year!

Had the bluegill for Friday Fish Fry. Nice big pieces and plenty of them. Had leftovers as a fish burrito for lunch. Service was good and very attentive. Suggest indicating before the bill comes that they charge more for using credit card. Would have been nice to know that in advance.

Looking for a place with good food and our random road trip. Wooden Nickel popped up, so we stopped. Did not disappoint. Very good food and a fun and friendly atmosphere. Definitely saved as a favorite.

Great little bar. Very nice staff and more than accommodating. Great place to stop in. It’s right off the snowmobile trails with gas station not to far. Great food and reasonably priced drinks!
