We recently celebrated our wedding dinner reception at Wooden Ladle Ramen and Rice Bowl, and it was an unforgettable experience! Alyssa was incredibly open and accommodating, even offering to stay open later if we needed more time. She helped us prepare for the night by reserving a cozy, private spot for our group of 15. She even provided fridge space for our wedding cake and surprised us with thoughtful gifts to commemorate our special day! Leading up to the event, her communication throughout the planning process was exceptional, making us feel truly valued and cared for. That exceptional service didn’t stop there, but continued throughout the night itself, too. Her and Jack were both readily available throughout the night to make sure we had everything we needed. They did a phenomenal job answering questions, accommodating dietary restrictions, and keeping everyone’s drinks full. Their kindness and detail-oriented service was more than we ever could have wished / hoped for!
The food was absolutely delightful, as well! With a curated menu featuring fresh ingredients and diverse dishes, there were tons of delicious offerings for everyone (we were dining with numerous people that follow vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, and kosher diets). The restaurant itself was also clean and cozy, creating the perfect atmosphere for our intimate celebration. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue, and we highly recommend Wooden Ladle to anyone looking for great food in a warm and welcoming, inclusive environment!

Oh it’s so cute inside. It looks 100% like you’re walking into someone’s home because it was an Inn before. The menu is modest which was nice because I feel like ramen with lots of options can be so overwhelming. They had some novelty drinks to try too. The ramen is good!! it was a decent portion with a lot of good toppings. I also got the matcha crème brûlée which was yummy. The server was phenomenal, kind, and attentive. I was there for a very long time (longer than a normal lunch visit would be) and I did not feel rushed to leave at all. The area where you eat was so cute and I will definitely be back again.

We seriously cannot say enough nice things about Alyssa & the Wooden Ladle. The food is so flavorful, the service is exceptional, & the atmosphere is perfect. We stopped in randomly one evening & immediately made reservations for Valentine’s Day. We unfortunately got sick & had to cancel our reservations but Alyssa remembered us & had our orders made to go so we could still enjoy the wonderful food! Her & her son have exceptional customer service. We will be customers & friends for life!

Very interesting place. Food is delicious! Price is reasonable. Located right by the airport. You walk into a house-like setting instead of a restaurant. Then you get seated in a room with tables. I feel bad for server Ashley as she is the only one doing everything in the room. Nicest server you can deal with! Thank you for taking care of us!

Amazing spot in a somewhat awkward location. But that just makes it more unique!
The ginger tea and thai tea lemonade were delicious. Tonkotsu ramen and chicken wonton ramen were also very very good. We tried the crepe cake which was pretty good as well but not as good as we hoped.
The biggest thing, however, was our exceptional service! Alyssa did an outstanding job going over the entire menu in detail and really making our experience very enjoyable. She sets the bar high for what a server is and should be!

I’ve never had a restaurant experience where food can taste like you’re eating it right at home. I thought this place was an Airbnb but it was a really nice cottage that houses the coziest restaurant in which it serves delicious and amazing Japanese food. The desserts were awesome and not too sweet. All the food were decently priced, aesthetically pleasing, and presented very well that we couldn’t resist eating it. If you’re looking for a cozy and calm dining place, this is your place! Jack was a very diligent and an awesome server. We hope to come back again some times soon and would highly recommend you to check out this place too!

This place looks like a house from the outside without much of way to determine which door to open. The food is quite enjoyable. Its slower earlier in the day if you would like to avoid crowds. Hit this place up.

Although we’ve driven by this place many times, we never recognized it for what it was. The street side appearance is inviting but quite unassuming; however, the huge windows in the dining area make the space seem much larger. Alyssa was more than just the hostess and food server – she eagerly listened to what we thought about the food, setting, etc., and she shared her motivation for opening the restaurant. Her background and community connections are really interesting. Concerning the food, we were definitely impressed despite our ignorance when it comes to Japanese cuisine. From our group of four, we all enjoyed the various main dishes, drinks, and desserts: Nabeyaki Udon, Chicken Wonton Ramen, Tonkotsu Ramen, Matcha Lemonade, Rose Tea Lemonade, Matcha Crème Brûlée, and Cherry Blossom Crème Brûlée. We’re already looking forward to our next visit.

The place is so Beautiful inside and out. Only problem I had was they need a better snow removal company. However, as for the company and staff, all of which was outstanding. I had the wonderful pleasure of having Alyssa as my server, she was so wonderful. She made the brilliant choice of the machata lemonade for me. I had never been to a ramen establishment, heard of any or had any of the items on the menu. Alyssa did a fantastic job of explaining the items on the menu and helped me pick some items to have. I had never had Eel and she told me for never having Ramen that it was a bold choice. So I got the Eel, the mazemen, the shrimp appetizer, and the steamed chicken dumpling. I found that i didn’t care much for the texture of the dumplings but they were still delicious. The Eel is probably my new favorite dish… Thank you for the wonderful experience!!!
