You do most of the ordering online, so there isn’t much interaction with staff. It’s very “order-ahead-and-go” energy. There are some tables where you can sit and eat once you pick up your food, but it’s not a full dine-in experience — more like takeout vibes with the option to stay.
Now onto the food — everything I tried was packed with flavor and tasted like each component was meant to be there. Nothing felt random or thrown together.
I ordered from Jota by José Andrés and got:
• Setas al Ajillo
These mushrooms on toasted bread were amazing. Super garlicky (in the best way), and the bread tasted like they rubbed raw garlic straight onto it — so smart and so delicious. The only downside: it’s supposed to come with mojo verde and mine didn’t. I can only imagine how much better it would’ve been with that extra sauce.
• Carrilleras de Cerdo
Braised pork cheeks over creamy mashed potatoes with a rich gravy. The pork was insanely tender — basically falling apart if you looked at it. Flavor-wise, no complaints. Portion-wise… for $19, it was tiny. I’d feel better paying around $14 for what I got.
I ordered from Chios Taverna by Michael Symon and got:
-The spanakopita, which is one of my all-time favorite foods. And this one did not disappoint. Perfectly seasoned filling, crispy phyllo, and honestly I could’ve eaten like 12 of them.
Overall, I’d definitely come back to try more spots. The variety, quality, and convenience are hard to beat, just wish some portion sizes matched the price tag a little better.
The dumplings were a reheated frozen product. They were super salty and very gummy in texture. They were also burned on the bottom and someone tried to tear the bottoms off to hide it. So they were like spongy pork and shrimp wads with some dough attached. The accompanying hoisin sauce was just insanely salty soy sauce.
The soup was unbelievably salty even for reheated soup. It was neither hot nor sour, and just slimy in texture. The pork in it had a very strange consistency, very chewy. At least I think it was pork. It also had a pile of diced spring onions on top. A weak attempt to make reheated food seem fresh.
The lo mein was probably the most edible dish, but still super salty. Like when someone loosens the saltshaker lid at your table and you end up dumping the whole shaker out on your food. Yep, that salty. The actual flavor wasn’t bad, kind of smokey, but virtually no vegetables to speak of. The pork was in the form of spongy and flavorless square bits of gray meat.
The General Tso’s chicken was overcooked, and I mean hammered! It was small bits of fried dark meat, and they were all tough to the point of being basically inedible. I’ve had bubble gum that I didn’t get as many chews out of. It was about equal parts chicken and broccoli. The sauce was watery and again it was covered in diced spring onions to simulate fresh food. The jasmine rice was just cheap white rice like you get at the grocery store. Nothing remarkable about it.
After eating, I did not feel great and my food didn’t stay with me for very long. I was able to contact Wonder via their website chat feature. It took some time but eventually they did refund my money. They also gave me a $20 account credit, which will never be used by me.
I just don’t know what the though process behind this concept could have been except licensing the names of a bunch of celebrity chefs to slap on made-up restaurants, making all the food microwavable so you can run the place with cheap unskilled labor, and going for a cash grab until everyone realizes how bad and overpriced the food is and that most of the positive reviews are vague AI generated fluff. I don’t see this place being around long. If you feel tempted to try Wonder, just don’t. And if you happen to drive by it, feel sorry for the people eating there.
But the food was not on point.
Got the sweet potato and feta salad from yasas because it was on the recommendation, but sadly it was disappointing.
I dont think putting bunch of ingredients mixed together makes the food good.
Im open to try different places within the place but not this one
We came prepared to have a nice lunch and as soon as we walked in we said “yup, it’s take out now”
We waited 30 minutes for our order of chicken wings, fries and a burger. Drove home to find out that the HUGE bag just had the wings, sauce and cutlery. Had to drive back, complain and wait another 20 minutes for them to make the burger and fries.
– Food: you’ll get better wings at dominos. Burger was the truffle burger- ate it because at this point it was starvation as real. Just terrible.
– concept: like ideas of food halls and I have seen great examples. This wasn’t it- it felt like commercial kitchen rented to random people and we are just supposed to pretend it’s ok to serve same food in different color boxes.
Conclusion: Never again. Not worth the gas, money or the calories.
They have free delivery with your first order and 50% off, it’s incredible. I love how you can order from multiple restaurants at once. Love love love this place!
