Terrible experience at the takeout counter of Hyatt Garden Restaurant.
The older lady with tied-up, slightly curly hair was extremely rude! I just asked for chopsticks and she snapped at me like I owed her money. She didn’t even give me napkins. So disrespectful and mean — I honestly felt bullied for no reason. Maybe she picked on me just because I look nice. Totally unacceptable attitude! The old lady service is too rude!

The dim sum here is so good. No aunties with carts but the food comes out fast and tastes so fresh. We always order their salt pork ribs congee. I also like their sagi desserts and tea. Can’t beat their $22 lobster with plenty of noodles. Service is fast and attentive. If you like shrimp, order the walnut shrimp.

I had a terrible experience here today.
Not only did the staff refuse to provide chopsticks and treat me rudely, but the food I bought — the BBQ pork buns — was spoiled.
Two of the buns were completely flat, and when I opened them, they smelled sour and rotten.
This is not just poor service, it’s a food safety issue.
When I tried to ask about it, the staff was disrespectful instead of apologizing.
I’ve been a customer here before, but this time I truly felt mistreated and disappointed.
I would like to speak directly with the manager and request an explanation and refund.
I had a very disappointing experience here today.
I politely asked for chopsticks for my meal, but the staff refused and even skipped me to serve another customer who came after me.
When I questioned why, she became rude and disrespectful instead of apologizing.
I’ve been a returning customer before, but this time I truly felt discriminated against and mistreated.

It is a very professional and authentic Chinese restaurant. The food selection is very rich. There are various Chinese dishes with different flavors to choose from. I like barbecued pork buns and rice rolls, as well as chrysanthemum tea. There are many traditional Chinese people here, and some white people. The decoration of the restaurant is great, with Chinese characteristics, and it can also host some parties and celebrations.

The food was excellent! My favorites were the Jumbo Shrimp Har Gow, melt-in-your-mouth French-Style Pan-Fried Fillet Steak, perfectly balanced Honey Walnut Shrimp, and Yangzhou Fried Rice. Highly recommend checking this place out if you get the chance!

Very awful experience dining here this time.
First, the taste of dishes is not stable, last week we got here and the dishes were great, just one week those are totally different.
Second, the leek dumplings are not fresh, it tasted like leftovers.
Third, they didn’t cook gailan well, the root is undercooked, they should peel it and make it cooked evenly.
Fourth, the persevered eggs were not fresh, IDK why it got this color, and tasted oddly.
Fifth, they are short of staff and miss ordering the food we picked twice, cause the experience is dreadful!
Hopefully it’ll get better soon!

Classic looking dim sum place with chaotic service.
Dim sum dishes start at $5 and can increase to $9 really quickly if you’re not careful of the size chart they point out at the top of the menu.
Be aggressive with getting attention from staff and make sure you’re asking for everything in one shot. This will either work in your favor or you will have to find someone else to bring you what the other forgot about.
Nothing entirely wrong if you’re not familiar with that kind of dining experience but definitely bring someone that isn’t anxious about acting like you’re at a hole in the wall.
All that to point out that the aesthetics outplay the service. It’s still a very old school style restaurant.
As of Aug 2024 your best value dish to order for 2-3 people will be the 22.99 lobster special. It’s about 2 pounds of lobster with options for sauce and noodles.
Overall, dishes were good and they try to crank out the siu mai as quickly as they can before running out but if you’re waiting a bit for it then it just means you’re getting one fresh off the steamer.

Came in for impromptu family dinner whilst visiting for holidays. Facade of building under retrofit construction, minor inconveniences. Ordered Westlake Soup, Lobster Special, Sweet and Sour Fish, Salted Chicken, Green Beans, and Red Bean Soup dessert, with both oolong and chrysanthemum teas. Food was good, not exceptional; except the lobster was a very nice selection by staff, although the sauce and noodles came across as “dull”. Service was very attentive and accommodating. Atmosphere felt like retro 80’s fancy Cantonese resto, with live seafood tanks, and a giant TV screen. Would return, although would not be my first choice on merit of food, though as aforementioned, service was exceptional.
