I have to say that this was one of the worst experiences that I had getting takeout. The food was awful. We went to pick it up and got home and half of our food was missing. The brisket was so fatty that we had to bring it back to pick up the other half of our order. We got a replacement for the brisket and I thought it couldn’t get worse but it did. We got the chicken sandwich and it was the smallest thing that you have ever saw. It had zero flavor and it almost looked like it wasn’t cooked. The pulled pork was bland and so was the Mac and cheese. When we got back with the wings they were raw. I would not recommend this place at all. If you want good bbq in the Villas go to Wing It.

We had ribs, brisket and pulled pork. The ribs were tough and very fatty, nothing falling off the bone there. The brisket had the texture of overdone London broil. The pulled pork was ok, but kind of dry and nothing came with sauce. The coleslaw and baked beans were also not great. Everything also had almost a lighter fluid taste.

We tried all their house made macaroni salad, potato salad, cole slaw & baked beans. Everything amazing, best BBQ we’ve ever had. Highly suggest checking them out, you will not be disappointed!!

I ordered the pulled pork platter , the Char Pit Nacho fries, a side of Slaw and a single (no sides) $13 “TURKEY LEG”
The food was good All American BBQ except for the “turkey leg”.
If you expect it to actually be a leg for that price then you’ll be disappointed as I was. When I was young and my mom would make turkey legs, it was a whole leg, meaning thigh and Drumstick, bc a drumstick is a drumstick and a leg is a thigh and drumstick together ♂️ At The Wolves Away Char Pit you get a Drumstick only, no thigh is included To make it an actual leg as they advertise it to be on their menu. It’s only half a leg. Should be on the menu as Turkey Drumstick, it’s overpriced false advertising. Doesn’t matter how good it is, a single drumstick without even any sides is no where near worth $13. Just saying ♂️

The food was good and priced well. What really impressed us was the customer service. We got home and realized we were missing an item. We called the restaurant and they apologized and offered to deliver the item, despite not having a delivery driver that night. Highly recommend this business. Pictures below is the delicious Mac and cheese quesadilla

Great customer service and very friendly. The price to food ratio is amazing. The brisket slider, pulled pork slider, fried ribs, and pulled pork were very good. The Sweet and Carolina sauces were both excellent. We unfortunately were not able to try the Smoked Mac and Cheese as it was sold out along with lots of other items, as it was right before close, so make sure to get there early! Coleslaw and Cornbread were not the best in our opinion, so we’ll be trying the other sides next time.

I’m not sure why this place doesn’t have better reviews! The ribs, brisket and pulled pork were cooked perfectly and had AMAZING flavoring. There was so much meat on my ribs I couldn’t even finish all them (yummy for left overs the next day). The mac and cheese had great taste and their honey hot sauce is soo good! Best BBQ in the area by far.

Was staying in Villas for family vacation, seen the BBQ sign and we decided to call an order in. Brisket, fries, Texas twinkies, Cole slaw and Mac an cheese. One bite of each and the entire $40 order hit the trash can. Should have taken the empty lot as an indication of the quality of this place.. This food was absolutely the worst take out I’ve ever ordered. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone. I feel bad for the owner, if that’s the best they can do they’ll be out of business before too long.

I ordered the ribs and burnt ends. Seems like rookie hour with the smoker. I can make better ribs on my propane grille. The burnt ends were so tough and over flavored. The ribs had nothing but fat on them. The only part of the ribs that actually did have meat on them were pink not to mention the food was cold. I normally don’t waste food, but the food was so bad I didn’t even give it to my dog. In the trash it went. Hate to say it, but I’m sure this place will close down.
