Enga is a fantastic addition to Whitefish. It so vibey— perfect for a date night or drinks with friends. I am excited for The Antler Room to open downstairs, the manager was able to give me a peek at the unfinished space and I think it will be so fun. There is also a rooftop overlooking the mountain with stunning views and a pool for Larch House guests. The fireplace outdoors with seating is a nice touch, like something you’d find in Big Sky—but better. If you are in Whitefish and want a fine dining experience, look no further. I can’t wait to come back, this is going to be my new favorite spot to recommend!
First off, the atmosphere is spot-on—casual, comfortable, and welcoming, but still feels like a polished, higher-end experience. The restaurant has big windows and an awesome view looking north toward Whitefish Mountain, which makes it feel very “Montana” without trying too hard. It’s connected to a hotel, but even as locals, it still felt like a great place to step into for a night out.
The service was excellent, especially for being so new. There were plenty of staff around, everyone was attentive, and the whole place felt well-run right out of the gate.
Now, just to be upfront—this isn’t a bargain dinner spot. ENGA is clearly positioned as a higher-end restaurant, and the pricing reflects that. Appetizers were roughly $15–$20, burgers around $26, and main courses looked to be in the $40–$60 range. That said, what you’re paying for is the full experience: the setting, the professionalism, and the quality.
The cocktails were fantastic. I had a vodka martini that was clean and refreshing, and my wife tried the mezcal drink (I’m not even a tequila guy) and it was surprisingly really good.
One more thing that matters to us—my wife actually met the executive chef and the host while hunting in Chester, Montana this past fall, and they were genuinely great people. You can tell they’re connected to Montana and the community, and that makes you want to support what they’re building here.
If you’re looking for a place to take your wife for an anniversary, entertain a business client, or just enjoy a top-tier night out in Whitefish, ENGA should be on your short list. And even if you just want to stop in when they open for a drink and a few appetizers, it’s absolutely worth it.
This place is going to be a winner in Whitefish.
The tenderloin was the best entre I had in WF UNTIL I tried the elk – highly recommend!
