We stumbled upon this German restaurant and we were so happy we did! They were playing the Cleveland Browns and the Steelers game, which was huge!! (Go Browns! Even though it is a Steelers bar!) They even had Trivia for halftime, which was really cool!
The food was incredible -I had the Cuban and then my fiancé got the Reuben! Very authentic flavors, including the sides, sauerkraut and potato pancakes. Definitely recommend if you’re in the Port Clinton area.

This place is a German Themed Biergarten, NOT a Posh, Snooty Suit & Tie Restaurant.
I’m giving this place 5-Stars because of the Fun Atmosphere, the Friendliness of the Staff, the Flavors & Authenticity of its German Beers & Entrees, & the Uniqueness of its Concept. This place even had a Live Polka Band for entertainment. I Loved It !!!

Great food, service, drinks, and atmosphere. Will definitely return for more brats. They were delicious. Also, truffle Brussels sprouts. 10/10. Would recommend

Just found out about this place so my wife and I came here for Valentine’s Day and we were so glad that we came here. My wife got the Blitzkrieg and I got the Huhnerschitzel. The food was amazing. The service was top notch. I accidentally said I wanted kraut instead of coleslaw and she replaced it with no issues. Marianne was our server and she made the atmosphere the best we’ve had in a long time. She makes the atmosphere.

I believe I went to a soft opening on st. Patty’s day. The service was great. Food came out fast! It was a limited kegs and eggs menu for breakfast at 11am. Can’t wait to see what they have to offer later on this year! Great atmosphere! I recommend coming in and giving it a try I recommend the Bahama Mama bratwurst with sauerkraut house mustard relish and ketchup on pretzel bun. So many new specials!

Don’t order schnitzel. The veal dinner was a measley 4oz at best, chewy and lacked flavor at $18. Sides were dry and lacked flavor except the brussel sprouts were good. A Hefe, a dunkel and pils on tap. The patrons and staff were fun and the beer stein display was interesting. Choose one of the non German sandwiches or a sausage platter as they looked more appealing.

Excellent sandwiches, entree-sized appetizers, friendly service, and when my wife left her purse when we were visiting from three hours away, they shipped it back to us. Will definitely visit again next time we’re up that way.

Mc Carthys Irish pub has transformed their second dining room into a German restaurant. It is a totally separate place with an authentic German menu and beers. The wood tables and bar are beautifully handcrafted. The menu has lots of sausage selections, potato pancakes, German potato salad as well as traditional burgers, wings and salad.

This bar has a really neat atmosphere with its proud German heritage. The server was so welcoming. Although this bar gives very “German” vibes, you can still do all the fun bar things!
