This restaurant is amazing. We stopped here on the way to visit some relatives in a neighboring city. I had been craving some catfish and that’s the first thing that I ordered. I ate every bite. It was the best catfish I have ever eaten then I had the blackberry collar for dessert, which was also amazing. Wish I had room for the other desserts. Everything looked wonderful. The service and the staff was excellent I love this place and I will definitely be back

This is a very small quaint and popular restaurant with a reputation for their catfish plates. After visiting, I understand why. They offer generous servings. My husband and I shared the 6 pieces plate with two sides, which was plenty for us. The service was as good as the catfish. Our server was friendly, interactive, and prompt. The interior and exterior are well kept. There is a park located beside it to past the time if there is a wait list. Warning! They can be very busy during peak hours.

This place is amazing! So glad someone dragged me out here because it was so worth it!! Best catfish you’ll find around here! It comes with this delicious tomato relish and yummy coleslaw, and their tarter sauce is on point. My husband had a burger and said it was the best burger he’s had in a long time. We can’t wait to come back and eat here again. We keep being told to try the pizza, but how am I supposed to not get that phenomenal catfish?! The curly seasoned fries were so so good! I love that they serve drinks in mason jars! Everyone was very friendly, too. HIGHLY recommend!

We took a drive through the country and found this hidden gem. It felt like walking into Nanna’s house for lunch. The staff just made you feel so welcome and cared for….even when they were crazy busy. The food was cooked to perfection and made with love. Those hush puppies…AMAZING! Let me tell you though, don’t leave without getting dessert! We ordered some to go….best decision we made! Make sure you stop if you are close. It will not disappoint!

First time here and my mom is a regular, they treated her so kind as if she’s the best person in the world, they literally have me the same respect my food was so good I’m definitely coming back, I ordered the hamburger Steak with potato salad and baked potato, the drink comes in a large Mason glass the atmosphere was also great and food was fresh and hot. UPDATE: im currently a regular as of now, and on Thursdays, they have specials on the menu to choose from

Big plates. Great service. Free parking. We had catfish fillets that were good but not any better than any other catfish place. Favorite part of the meal for me was the green tomato pickle relish. Restaurant liberal with salt but then most southern restaurants are generous with salt. Restaurant staff and most customers wore masks; of course, there were good old boys who couldn’t be bothered. Fayette County lacks a mask mandate.

My husband, child, & I went today for lunch and felt very UNWELCOMED from the beginning of entering the building. No one spoke to us or anything. We sat ourselves and it took some time before anyone got to us. When they did, our waitress already seemed annoyed with us and told us we had to get our own highchair, we went to the back and grabbed one and they were all CAKED WITH ICK. I had to completely cover it with my jacket and blanket. Like they don’t clean them. I ordered my son’s food first and when I told her we would wait to order our entrees she seemed unhappy. When she came back to get our order after bringing our son’s food we gave her our order. My husband ordered the BBQ nachos and the waitress asked if he wanted jalapeños and he said yes. I ordered the grilled chicken & bacon sandwich and my waitress asked if I wanted anything on the side because it comes with nothing and I told her I will wait to order a side because the sandwich might fill me up. She told me I had to order it now or not at all. It took a minimum of 30 minutes to bring our food out ( I did not time it exactly.) Other parties that had come in after us and ordered after us had already received their foods. One party of 4/5 people who arrived after us ordered, received, ate and LEFT before we even received our food. Another party of 2 who came in after us also ordered, received ate and LEFT before we even got our food.
When we did receive our food my husband did not get jalapeños on his nachos after they are supposed to come with them plus the presentation was absolutely HORRENDOUS. They looked like I made them at my home drunk. My grilled chicken on my sandwich was so tough I could not even chew it. It was dry and dark grey from the grill.
We only were checked on once by our waitress before we had got our food and she did not even apologize for the delay or anything or refill our drinks. I added in a photo of how the nachos were delivered to our table.

I went here on a Saturday about 2:30. It was probably about 90% full of families. Seating was immediate but table service was not. I ordered the hamburger steak and a portion was huge the Patty was probably about as thick as a quarter pounder Patty but about 5 inches in diameter. They do give you the option of having sauteed peppers and onions on top. It was served with steak fries which were good. I had a side of deviled eggs which tasted pretty homemade, better than some places I’ve had them. The sweet tea isn’t too sweet. There’s one table outside on the porch to eat.

It’s a good local place too see people you may know. Do not order the chicken strips! Frozen Kroger brand tenders taste better. The fries also seemed like frozen store bought fries. Based off reviews other menu items would probably be better. The service was mostly nice and was quick!
