1st time to eat here. Saturday night date with my wife. Fun decor and ambiance when you walk in. Josh was our server and did a phenomenal job helping with recommendations and answering our questions. We had an order of the Xiao Long Bao ($13) for our appetizer. Though these were some of the smaller sized ones I’ve had, their flavor was rich and texture just right. For our entrees, we had General Tso’s Chicken ($18) and Honey Walnut Shrimp ($22). Both the chicken and the shrimp were good quality products from a size and texture standpoint. They were, however, very heavily sauced which is more Americanized Chinese food.
We ordered Chicken Dan Dan La Mian ($19) for our youngest son as he was at work. He said the flavor was delicious and was very happy with it.
The owner stopped by and chatted with us for awhile. She has an amazing and inspiring immigrant’s story to share if you are interested. We found her to be warm, passionate about serving others and happy to be in the restaurant business.
Overall, this was a good experience. We will likely be back in due time to try some of their other dishes.

Lola was an amazing waitress very nice and professional! I got Mongolian beef and this was the juiciest and best tasting Mongolian beef I’ve had ever. I wish I could bring this dish back to Florida with me.

When I heard the name Wok Star, I was imagining bold, punchy flavors and tender, juicy meat, with the kind of kick and smokiness that’s only possible when you stir fry over a ripping hot wok at fast speeds. What actually was served was a very average dish that’d be no different from a standard strip mall chinese takeout joint, made even worse by the fact that the taste here is catered to the pre health conscious American palate so everything just has bucketloads of sugar added to it – I felt a little lightheaded after finishing my General Tso’s Chicken chicken because the sauce was pure sugar and lacked any umami or spiciness. At least the decor and service here is on point, if you just want a nice place to eat food with heavy sugar in it, this is your spot.

Wok Star is essentially Premium Panda Express, and that’s no insult.
I love this place to death. The General Tso’s sauce they make is super flavorful, the fried rice is loaded with that umami MSG taste, and the fried foods come out delightfully crisp.
My personal favorites are the roasted eggplant and the fried cauliflower~

This was the best Chinese meal I have ever had. The experience began with the environment, which had a pleasant atmosphere, stylish décor, and was exceptionally clean. The service was excellent overall; The host could have been slightly more welcoming but it was ok. Our server was attentive and very kind. The food was outstanding made with fresh ingredients, well prepared, and beautifully presented. The balance of sweet, sour, and spicy flavors was spot on, exactly as authentic Chinese cuisine should be. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who appreciates well prepared Chinese food.

I would give this place 5 stars just for the service alone! Katelyn was spectacular and made my visit all the more enjoyable with her bubbly personality and talkative nature. The spicy green beans were so flavorful and the pan fried pork buns are my favorite! I recommend Wok Star to everyone, and I can’t wait to come back!

The customer service was great. The vibe of the restaurant was awesome. We had the BAO all three flavors from the spring menu. My favorite was the pork belly and shrimp bao. The Dan Dan noodles were good and the garlic tofu was cooked to perfection.

My wife and I split the beef and broccoli and general tso chicken. Great flavor combinations to order together – salty and sweet. Also great pork dumplings – and we are pork dumpling connoisseurs!!!! Fun music too. Definitely worth your while.

They were awesome, I was bring a treat to my 90 old mother who wanted Chinese food, the problem is she can’t have any spice. I ordered the Buddha delight, no spice with chicken and it was perfect. She really enjoyed the fresh veggies not overcooked, the tender chicken that I added and there was 0 spice. Thank for making it perfect for her.

I love WokStar in The Hill Shopping Center. The food is amazing, and I come here several times a week for my lunch break with coworkers. Tony, the manager, and his whole team are incredibly welcoming and always recognize us and give us the VIP experience. Everyone is super friendly and efficient. We love sitting outside on their patio with the fans on. They always have the best music on, and my iced tea is always full (I drink ALOT of tea). I love you guys!!!!
