I went to Wok by the Beach for lunch, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Every dish had great balance and presentation, making it both satisfying and memorable. The service was just as impressive; the staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure everything came out quickly and just right. The relaxed, beachside atmosphere added to the charm and made it a perfect lunch spot.

Good service, tasty sushi, expensive prices.

Tried the following:

Classic roll:
– Salmon
— not a lot of salmon
— mostly rice

The Creation Rolls:
– CT roll
— tasty and creative
— expensive $32

– Rock and Roll
— tasty
— expensive $30

Pad Thai with Steak
– good portion
– flavour is ok
– I’d stick with the chicken
– expensive $27

Wonton Soup
– excellent flavour
– wontons and broth are tasty

Fish Fingers and fries
– good size pieces of fish
– flaky fish with a good batter

Overall they have tasty food, but prepare to pay for it.

Great food options for the entire family and for various taste buds. Wok has a great sushi menu featuring the best Tamago sushi I have ever eaten in my life. They don’t advertise it on the menu, but you can substitute any of the meats for tofu on any of the entrees! All you have to do is ask. Great option if you’re vegetarian, vegan, or wanting to avoid meat. The tofu can be soft or fried (I recommend fried). It was crispy and soft at the same time if that’s even possible. Our server was Brittany (unsure of how she spells her name), and she was lovely and answered all of our questions as best as she could. I appreciated her patience with the multiple questions our party had. This was our second time here and we can’t wait to come back for our third!

Wok by the Beach is a hidden gem. If you’re looking for cheap, corner-store sushi with cheap preserved tuna this isn’t that. They use only high-quality, fresh fish, and you can taste the difference in every bite.

The sushi is excellent clean, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Their Pad Thai is also spot on.

On top of the food, the atmosphere is something special. One of the most stunning ocean murals I’ve ever seen takes up the wall, painted by none other than THE Carey Chen.

If you care about quality and want something beyond the usual takeout sushi, this spot delivers. Highly recommend.

I visited this restaurant in June 2025. The decor is very nice and vibrant. I started off with the Tom Kha soup which has a coconut soup base with mushrooms, tomatoes, and scallions. This was an excellent started and you can augment with chicken or shrimp.

For my main course, I had the sashimi app which features 3 pieces of tuna, salmon, hamachi, and whitefish. This was served on a bed of crushed ice & the bowl had a decorative ice mold as well. The fish were very fresh and delicious. I definitely had enough to fill me and ate every last morsel.

I didn’t have room for dessert but will definitely be back to try some of the sushi and further explore the menu. I was very satisfied with what I had.

The food was honestly extremely disappointing. We came for sushi and the place had good reviews. But honestly for how expensive some of it was it, it was bad. I work at a sushi restaurant out of state and some of what was served to me would get our chefs fired. The server was nice but I think some of the descriptions were misleading on the menu mostly with the “crack…ers” it was a RITZ Cracker not even full unbroken ones. There were soggy broken ritz crackers with spicy tuna on top for $12. The Salmon Sushi was on the biggest issues as well. The cut was bad. The chef should’ve cut the fish better and trimmed it. It was semi warm and not a good cut. The yellowtail and scallion roll was practically all rice. The Red Dragon Roll was ok, although I don’t believe it was worth $24. Overall disappointing especially since I was taking my friend out for sushi for the first time postpartum.

Wok by the Beach Thai Restaurant absolutely impressed me! The restaurant was spotless — from the dining area to the restrooms, everything was incredibly clean and well-kept. The food was beyond delicious; every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. On top of that, the staff was so warm and friendly, making the whole experience even better.

Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for amazing Thai food in a welcoming, clean environment!

Food was okay. The presentation was amazing but I found the prices to be too high.
-Spider roll 22$. Good, but expensive
-Chicken katsu 18$. Honestly amazing. The rice had a sweetness to it that was a nice surprise.
-Tom kha soup 8$. A bit flavourless.
-Spring rolls 8$. Okay.
-Yakisoba with steak 26$. Saucy and sweet. Steak didn’t have too much flavour and it was 6$ extra for it.
-Stir fried glass noodles with chicken 18$. This one honestly confounded me. It had celery and halved cherry tomatoes which just didn’t mix well with the green onions and mushrooms. The white onion pieces were so large it was Impossible to mix everything together. The veggies could have used a bit more cooking as well.
-Unagi roll 8$. Hubby thought it was excellent. I agreed.
-Fish fingers and fries 14$. My 2yr old ate them.
The food was okay. Some great dishes but some came out less than expected. I found it all to be very expensive. 2 adults and 2 kids came out to 135$. AMAZING atmosphere though.

I’m super picky when it comes to food, and this place blew me away. Every bite was —fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Honestly wasn’t expecting to be this impressed, but here we are. Definitely coming back, and I can’t wait to explore more of the menu. If you’re on the fence, just GO. You won’t regret it.
