Very SMALL town destination. The owner/bartender/cook/workaholic Scott is a great guy! Drinks and great food. I had the Mushroom and Swiss burger. One order of fries is enough for 4 or more. The food is great. The Friday fish fries attract 6 to 7 hundred which temporarily increases the town population by 10 fold. A definite place to go for good food and fun.
4/9/2022 Still a great place to stop for a bite. My wife and I had hamburgers, fries and 2 Jack Daniels each. $28. You can’t eat at home for that.

My parents have been going to the Witoka Tavern Friday Fish fry for the past couple years. They always tell us how good it is. So for the past couple months we have started going with them, this was our 5 time going. Food is good, service is good, price is very fair. Plus we get to spend time with my parents. Today was a busy day, my wife and I both ate late lunches, so we decided to go with my parents up to the fish fry and split a meal. We got up to the Tavern, got seated quickly, ordered our food (we let the waitress know that my wife and I were only ordering 1 fish dinner that we were going to split). The waitress said thank you and put our order in. Less than 5 minutes later we had our food and asked for an extra plate. The waitress returned with the plate and informed us that we would be charged $5 extra for splitting a meal. We were kind of taken back as there was no mention of this on the menu nor had the waitress said anything taking our order. After dinner I went up to pay our bill, I inquired about the $5 extra charge and how there was no mention of it till after we were served..we visited a few minutes and she said that I needed to talk with the owner Scott. So Scott came out and I discussed my issue with him to which he replied ‘the extra plate, plastic cup cost me money’. I said that I understood this, but there was no mention of the extra $5 charge till after the meal was served, I didn’t think that was right. He just said ‘it’s 5 extra dollars’ to which I said this will probably be the last time we come up here for dinner.

Husband and I went a couple days ago. Nice and clean. The man there was super nice. The food was amazing. Fries were perfectly crispy, cheeseburger was juicy and large. They give you enough for a few meals! Definitely go there starving. Will return again. ATM on-site. Only drawback was the bathroom.
