We rolled up to a full house with guests waiting on their take out food. Somehow you knew it was food worthy waiting for. There was community amongst strangers in anticipation of being fed. The car ride home was plagued with the aroma of delicious food, making a 15 minute drive feel like an eternity. Once home, we grabbed forks and dug in like starved hostages. I briefly reminded myself to chew and savory the flavors and not just inhale the plate like a wild animal. Starving or not, the food was perfect! Broccoli to perfection, rice that soaked up the sauce, chicken juicy, salmon flaky and moist. Would order again!

Tried this place for something different. We got the Lobster Hibachi, Steak Hibachi, Catfish, Shrimp, lemon fries all with the intention of taking it home. It was all absolutely delicious. The lobster and steak were tender and flavorful and the rice that accompanied it had just the right amount of herbs and butter for dipping. The battered shrimp was crispy and the catfish tasted like it had just been caught. Ordered seconds of the lemon fries. Portions were generous enough for 3 people to share each dish. The owner and waitress were so nice they made you feel like family. Would 100% recommend.

I love love LOVE this place!! This is my go-to for seafood boils! The lobster and shrimp hibachi is to die for! And the vibe is laid back, I was able to take a shot and fraternize with everyone while I waited on my food. I enjoyed my time there.

I had high hopes for this place after reading all the great reviews, but unfortunately, my experience didn’t live up to the hype. I ordered the fried catfish bites, sour cream baked potato, salmon sticks, and lemon pepper fries, totaling about $45.
The catfish had a very fishy, musty taste, which was disappointing for fried catfish. The ‘sour cream baked potato’ didn’t actually come with sour cream, and instead of a baked potato, it was a mash of red skin potatoes. The salmon sticks had a rubbery texture, and while the fries were seasoned well, they were clearly frozen.
For the price, I expected fresher and better-quality food. To be fair, I did place my order 30 minutes before closing, which could have impacted the quality.
Additionally, the interior could really use a refresh—it felt a bit outdated. On a positive note, the lady who took my order was very kind and provided great customer service.
Overall, I think there’s potential here, but improvements are needed to match the price and the positive reviews.

Great place to eat! Nice portion sizes and seasoning is on point. Black owned business that accepts EBT for crab boils, no one else is doing this! The cook Kevin always comes out to speak and makes sure my order is correct and to my satisfaction! Greatly recommend tell them I sent u ✅

A brother and sister run this family business together. These are good people. Not a big place or a large dining area, but this place is all about the take out. Hands down the best part is the food; delicious, generously portioned and seasoned to perfection. When I returned back with this food I was the hero, again, for the second time this day . Thank you Detroit Seafood Spot; you two rock!!! I’ll be back.

It was more but I had to taste it ..my first time going and I have no complaints got my food fresh wasn’t a long wait customer service was good them hush puppies so good I wish I had more got the 8pc shrimp and fried okra .
