Can I give the service more stars please? ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We felt welcome soon as we walked in! Staff was amazing, bartender was very sociable, friendly and helpful. We got the egg rolls to snack on … OMG. If they had been open when we Left, I think we would have bought 4 more Just to bring home. Get the mystery shots, you will not be disappointed. This is the location we will be spending more time in every time we come to Salem. Loved this place so much, we came back hours later, just for the chit chat!

Very popular place…..started with the buffalo chicken/ steak and cheese egg rolls and they were amazing Highly recommended. Our service was only slow due to them taking extra precautions to ensure that I wouldn’t get sick. 10/10 will come back again 🙂

Food was very good. We sat outside on the patio and watched all the people going by. I got the Cali wrap and it was very good. Good flavor and tasty. We got the pretzel appetizer and the cheese was good. I don’t like beer cheese and this was not a beer cheese and it had some peppers mixed in. Tater tots with pork was very good! We also got a panini and the BBQ pork paining. Everything was very good.

Great place to eat in Salem that matches the “witchy” vibe. Artwork on the walls are amazing. We were a party of 4 and had to wait outside in line for 5-10 minutes for lunch. There was a party of 6 in front of us in line that didn’t get seated until we started eating. So don’t recommend a bigger party during busy hours, especially around Halloween. The food was great. We all got smash burgers. I got the Cali burger (fried egg, avocado, etc.) which was good but could’ve used more witch sauce. The fries were EXCELLENT. Crunchy and not too greasy. They had plenty of staff. They had staff walking about collecting dirty plates and cups as soon as you took your last bite. But they automatically charged a 20% gratuity even when we only had a party of 4. I’m guessing to pay their extra staff they had floating around. So don’t even bother bringing cash because they’ll charge you a tip already. Overall, this is a great place to eat when visiting Salem!

Absolutely beautiful inside and out. It was a quick decision to eat there and it was well worth it. The food was perfectly cooked and seasoned, everyone was really friendly and helpful. Can’t wait to visit again next time I’m in Salem.

Every restaurant in town had a line stretching down the block. The air was cool and heavy with noise, filled with laughter and the sound of distant music echoing between old brick walls. I had walked nearly twelve miles through crowds of witches, Batman, stormtroopers, and one person dressed as Satan who was hugging strangers like an overzealous cult recruiter. Hunger finally won.
The Witchside Tavern was packed, but fate or exhaustion found me a single open stool at the bar. I ordered the chicken mozzarella panini with fries, and the bartender, calm and kind in the chaos, brought it out quickly. When I finished, I asked if I could sit a little longer before heading to my tour at the Salem Witch Museum. She nodded and said, “No worries.”
For a few quiet minutes, I sat there watching the crowd outside grow louder and the night press closer. Then I picked up my backpack, thanked her, and stepped back into the Halloween madness.
Madness that included a Blue Power Ranger throwing up while her teammate proved that true heroes always stick together.
Praise the Empty Stool.

I love that the bartender was able to make an original margarita not using margarita mix. I also ordered their New England clam chowder, absolutely delicious! I ordered their Brie and fig appetizer with garlic bread the bread was absolutely delicious crunchy yet soft and fresh, the fondue dip was amazing however I wish it had a little bit more fig. I thought it was going to have actual pieces of fig. Nevertheless, it was absolutely delicious I didn’t think I was going to finish it I ended up eating it all. Great welcoming ambience lots of seating and staff is very attentive! Highly recommend!

Your typical bar and grill food selection (something for everyone). Wife and I split a flatbread and salad. Food was great, beer and bar selection were great as well. Jeff (or Jeffrey?) was absolutely awesome! He definitely is the definition of Hospitality and will be back! Whole staff is awesome! Edit: Adding my Breakfast Photo. It hit the spot after a night of pub hopping.

What a great place! The Witchside Tavern is a charming restaurant and bar in Salem serving up delicious smash burgers, flatbreads, salads, and more. I had the Cali Smash Burger, which was amazing, and the battered fries are some of the best I’ve ever had. My server, Jeff, was one of the best servers I’ve ever had as well! There are beautiful hand-painted murals in the restaurant, and the whole atmosphere seems really inviting. Parking is easy with the garage right down the street, which is super cheap. I will definitely be returning next time I’m in Salem! I highly recommend the Witchside Tavern for a great meal in Salem.
