My brother and his kids were in town visiting from out of state, and while we were out touring the monuments with my wife, we decided to find a good lunch spot. After a quick search, we came across Wiseguy Pizza, saw the solid reviews, and decided to give it a try — and I’m really glad we did.
This place was an awesome find. The pizza was excellent. Wiseguy is a classic New York–style slice shop, and they absolutely nail it. The flavor was spot on, the dough was clearly made fresh in-house, and the toppings were fresh and well balanced. Everything about the pizza just worked.
The staff were also fantastic — friendly, efficient, and welcoming, even while staying busy.
The shop itself is fairly small, with only a handful of seats inside and a small outdoor seating option when the weather cooperates. Because of that, it’s not really a place to linger for a long sit-down meal. That said, it’s perfect for grabbing a slice or a pie. If you’re local, it’s a great take-home pizza option. If you’re visiting the area like we were, it’s an excellent stop to grab a quick, satisfying slice while exploring.
Hands down, Wiseguy Pizza is a solid choice for great New York–style pizza. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this is a spot worth checking out.

Ordered the Family Special which came with their famous large pizza (pepperoni) and a Caesar salad. Pizza was delicious. It’s even better the next day after reheating in a toaster oven.

Great experience at Wiseguy Pizza!
The pizza was outstanding—especially the Korean Chicken pizza, which had an amazing flavor. I also tried the wings with sweet chili sauce, and they were absolutely delicious. The service was excellent as well—big thanks to Estefany for her great recommendations and friendly attitude. Highly recommend!

I must say it was very reluctant to eat here, mostly because I’ve eaten at the one on Massachusetts Avenue in DC near Union Station.. I don’t think there Pizza Oven had been cleaned in a really long time. My pizza was over reheated and chunks of some black stuff on the bottom of the pizza. It was not very good, I put it in the trash. There was a homeless guy nearby, he started laughing said yeah that pizza sucks, I never eat there..
This one is the exact polar opposite of the pizza I had. It was REALLY good, crispy, but not too much, very tasty. I’m glad I gave it another try. Had the Chicken Bacon Ranch. I highly recommend this location..

I stopped by Wise Guy Pizza for the first time after a long day without eating, just looking for a quick bite. I had no idea what to get, but the person behind the counter was super patient and helpful. A customer who came in after me even chimed in to say I couldn’t go wrong—everything was good. That gave me some confidence, and I ended up trying a slice of Spicy Roni and a slice of Grandma’s. Both were so good! You could taste how fresh they were, and the dough was that perfect mix of chewy and crispy. Definitely hit the spot. I’d absolutely recommend stopping in if you’re nearby!
