My little foodies and I visited Winter Springs Seafood Station for our first and last time today. Kudos to friendly service but food quality and freshness are the worse for my experience.
Snowcrab legs – small size and the kind that’s been soaked in salty brine…cheap grade you commonly get at local Chinese buffets in central Florida. Snowcrab legs at Mikado Japanese buffet is much fresher
Crawfish – if you are like me, used to eating LA Cajun style boiled live crawfish quality, then this is not the place to go. They use dead frozen crawfish. Texture of live frozen crawfish is still better than long dead crawfish that’s then frozen and cooked.
Fried chicken wings – over cooked, a bit too dry and tough for my daughter who doesn’t eat seafood to eat and enjoy.
Corn – they used the frozen corn on the cobs, so don’t expect fresh corn texture here.
If you have been to Melbourne Seafood Station, Winter Springs would be a terrible disappointment.

UPDATE : I have food poisoning the DAY AFTER. This is terrible I’ve never had such a bad seafood experience. This is just disgusting. ORIGINAL REVIEW : Everything was disgusting. Food has no flavor tastes like water. Portion size is RIDICULOUS and a JOKE. Everything was disgusting omg. The dancing crab would NEVER!!!!!!! I was my $35 back.

Waited an hour for food, only to not get the full order. Had to drive back, and asked her for a refund if the meal wasn’t already done. I thought maybe they made it, but she just forgot to put it in the bag. (I know, we should have checked before we left)
However, instead of communicating with me, she gets the 1 cook in the back to start making the meal (and she was the only person taking orders and serving tables) and didn’t communicate this to me as I wasted another 15 min to finally talk to her and tell her I want a refund and not wait for the food.
The fact she would even think I would want to wait another hour for it boggles my mind. I’m not surprised an error was made. It was mother’s day and they were severely understaffed. I’m upset on how it was handled afterwards, and for them even being open if they are unable to provide decent service.
So my warning to y’all. DON’T GO ON SPECIAL OCCASIONS EXPECTING GOOD SERVICE. Otherwise I’m sure it’s fine.

Tried this place on a whim after learning of another location’s closure and found a pleasant surprise. Fish was fresh and very thoroughly seasoned, staff were attentive, atmosphere was quaint and clean. My only gripe is the lack of condiment options. If they had a house-made tartar or cocktail I would likely be here on the regular.

This place is really inconsistent. I tried to give them another shot. They don’t use fresh seafood. I got wings and blue crabs tonight and half of the crabs smelled like ammonia. Wings were soggy and tasted like fish.

Got my food and the cashier didn’t write down the order correctly but I want gobs give her a hard time but I did say no corn but once I see the boil there’s corn. So I just pushed it to the side and ate the egg was very overcooked and I bit into a potato that had a gray ring I called and they do a single thing about it horrible service
