The Best Damn Empanadas? NO LIES TOLD!
If you haven’t been to RootedAF yet, you are missing out on a total non-meat eater’s paradise! I am still ecstatic over my meal. I tried the Curry Chickpea Empanada and it was simply amazing—the flavors are perfectly balanced and the crust is spot on.
Even the fries were to-die-for! Everything was fresh, delicious, and seasoned to perfection. This spot is a 100% must-visit. I’m already planning my next trip back and am officially a repeat customer.

I got the ‘Pinky Cole’ sandwich, which uses impossible meat. They also have an entirely plant menu if you don’t like the fake meats.
I also got fries and a side salad. The sandwich was unctuous and indulgent, the fries were hot and crisp, and the salad was fresh and tangy.
It was a little bit pricey at $29 but I rarely eat out, so it was absolutely worth it.

I recently tried Rooted AF. for the first time and have been craving their empanadas every day since.
Seriously, they’re amazing. I had two beef and cheese empanadas with some fries. As someone who doesn’t even like regular fries, I hesitated to get them but the other sides didn’t sound appealing to me.
The fries were great! So well seasoned I didn’t even care that they didn’t come with a sauce.
We’ll definitely be back!

I was in town from Philly for a work gig and excited to have a place to try for vegan food that I hadn’t been to before. I have to say — I will officially be back and will happily drive the hour there to experience such amazing food (not to mention customer service) again.
I can’t remember the names of what I got, but I ordered the beef empanadas, the crispy chicken wrap, burro fries, a strawberry crunch cake and a drink. Now lemme tell you about this drink… Hibiscus with rose and black pepper — omgggg it was exactly what I needed before a night of singing!
The wrap wasn’t what I’m used to from other subpar places that just put all lettuce and some pale tomatoes and dredge it with sauce… no, no, every bite of this had chicken and onions and fresh kale perfectly balanced with the right amount of sauce. It was exactly how a wrap should be!
The burro fries were perfectly crisp & tender and just seasoned enough to be zesty, and then that empanada!? Lordt.
I’m so grateful to have checked out this spot and blessed to have the unfortunate decision on my next visit of trying something else on the menu or sticking with what blew my mind already. Thank you to Rooted AF for giving me such a wonderful problem to have! I hope this business lives long and prospers, as it deserves to.

Im not even vegan and the food was so flavorful and good, if you didn’t tell me there was no meat I wouldn’t have been able to tell. Service was very hospitable and kind. I will be returning!! 🙂 I got the pinky cole, me and my girlfriend shared empanadas, it was all delicious and the cakes are great too.

Bought a curry empanada & a beef and cheese one 10/10!!! And the fries? My absolute favorite, a flavor you can’t really explain. Ill be back every time I’m in town, I also ended up buying a smoothie which was delicious & supported in buying a bar of soap which I absolutely love!

Coming from someone who is not vegan, you couldn’t tell me I wasn’t eating meat! I’ve had the chopped cheese, the pinky cole, and the loaded baked sweet potato. All 10/10. The food is flavorful and doesn’t leave you feeling sluggish which I absolutely love.

The service provided was remarkable; the staff exhibited a friendly demeanor and provided valuable assistance in selecting an appropriate dish. The menu offered a diverse array of excellent options. Notably, I had the opportunity to customize my order by substituting the Impossible Burger for a mushroom burger, which proved to be delicious. Additionally, the accompanying plantain fries were delightful. Overall, my dining experience was truly enjoyable, and I eagerly anticipate returning in the near future.
