We saw the great reviews and visited for the first time tonight and it exceeded our already high expectations!!!! This little unassuming place has some of the best BBQ we’ve ever had. Meat that falls off the bone with a sweet, smoky, deep flavor. Delicious sides (baked beans and fried okra were fantastic). Everything is flavorful and the house made vinegar-based bbq sauces were delicious – especially enjoyed the hot bbq. Homemade moist, delicious, chocolate cake rounded up the meal. Cute little interior. The owners are such delightful people and obviously have a love for what they do which shows in the food. We will definitely be back!

Hidden in a nondescript little building is a BBQ lovers dream. You walk in and aren’t sure what to expect but right away the owner greeted with a welcome and smile and energy that you knew it was her heart and soul to serve good food.
We were first humbled by the simple furnishings and decor but when a table near us were served, our senses were teased with an unbelievable aroma. Once our plates came out, we instantly saw the simple ingredients but expert preparations. The smoked chicken took me back to my childhood of fundraisers and family reunions but the collard greens, oh those tasty greens. Perfect amounts of bacon fat and vinegar! The white slaw was perfection and alongside the pulled pork, just the right tenderness of slow cooked and perfectly seasoned. The ribs were so tender and flavorful. We stopped just on a whim and even though we don’t live nearby, we will be back!!
This is a hidden gem for Wilkesboro off the 421 hwy and away from the fast food and box store highway mile. Highly recommend!

Just happened to see Winner’s Circle BBQ while running errands in Downtown Wilkes and what a treat it ended up being. The owners are a delight, the space is super clean, and the food is delicious. Been searching for a new fav bbq spot in the High Country and I think this is it! Bbq is top notch. Lean and delish. I had fries, corn nuggets, and hushpuppies as sides. All were delish, especially the hushpuppies. Definitely recommend stopping in. Seat yourself and enjoy the southern hospitality and really good food!

I cannot say enough positive comments about this amazing restaurant! The food is very delicious and reasonably priced, the facility is neat and clean, and the owner, Ms Sylvia is PRECIOUS! I’m so glad we decided to give it a try-do not let the humble appearance fool you, this establishment is top notch! We tried to sample as much as we could in one visit, but we will be back!! Tonight my husband and I had dinner at Winners Circle, and I truly can’t say enough about how incredible it was.
I ordered the chicken quarter with collards and green beans. The chicken was so flavorful and perfectly cooked that it didn’t need a drop of sauce. The collards immediately took me back to my grandmother’s kitchen, and the green beans tasted just like my mom’s. It’s rare to find restaurant food that feels this personal — like you’re sitting at a family barbecue surrounded by the people you love. This wasn’t just a meal; it was an experience.
After dinner, my husband ordered the Maple Bacon Cake “to go.” It made it into the box… but not out the door. He finished the entire slice in under a minute. I managed to grab one bite, and wow — completely unexpected. It’s like a maple bacon donut transformed into a light, perfectly balanced cake. Sweet, savory, fluffy — and somehow not too heavy. We were both wishing we had ordered two.
The owners were warm and welcoming, and the entire place felt inviting. You walk into this unassuming building on Main Street in Wilkesboro expecting a simple date night — and you leave feeling like you’ve just had one of the best meals of your life.

Had read several reviews about how great this place was and took my son there today as a treat but honestly was a little disappointed. Pros: Staff very nice and kind. Gave a warm welcome and was attentive to our needs. Also enjoyed them playing Christian music in the back ground. Cons: not much variety in barbecue sauces, sides were okay but tasted like instant potatoes and collards were so so. Worst part was my smoked chicken was very dry and my son’s FF were still raw in middle on most of them. Overall was not blown away …maybe it was an off day for them.

I was looking for a lunch spot to stop into on my work trip and wanted to sit outside, and this place was absolutely perfect! It’s just a cute little place on the side of the road, but the patio was easy going and playful view of the baseball field m, walking paths and trees. I had the lunch special and it was the perfect amount of food and delicious! The owner Sylvia was so friendly and awesom, too! They started off as a food truck in N wilkesboro speedway and the community rallied for them to open up a local spot too! So happy I popped in! I’ll be back!

I’ve had my share of BBQ being from Greensboro, and having spent time in Winston—This place is amazing. The ribs fall apart, and do not lack moisture at all. The pork is to die for, tender with lots of crispy bits to keep a nice consistency. I know my photo isn’t appetizing but I can assure you, I just forgot to take a photo immediately but I had to take a picture to show that this review is from the heart, because man, this is good stuff.

Found this gem on back road travels back to Tennessee from Charlotte. Food was amazing – we had ribs, pork, Mac n cheese, friend okra and slaw – every bite better than the next. Owners Ralph and Sylvia were so friendly and kind. A MUST stop for best ribs you’ve eaten if you’re anywhere in the area!
