Wing Stop is one of my FAVORITE wing spots. I work near the Avon location and decided to order via door dash for pickup and unfortunately I cannot say anything good about my meal. I order from the Lorain location normally and have ordered from the Elyria location as well; never any issues. At the Avon location the quality of my food was absolutely HORRIBLE. My wings were bare and barely sauced at all. My fries were NOT the normal fresh cut wing stop fries. I will not order from this location again. I am very disappointed in my food.
My husband placed an order at the store one minute before closing, not knowing that it was closing in one minute. Usually stores close out there ability to order 30 minutes before closing so that this doesn’t happen. When I got there I stood outside for 5 minutes waiting for someone to open the door when they already knew who I was because I doordash on the side and was go here frequently and was there three times that night. The guy who is usually there told someone else to open up the door for me because he knew me. They explain to me that they couldn’t fulfill the order which I understood because my husband’s a general manager and they had already closed everything up for the night. The guy who did open the door stated that he was the assistant general manager, which turned out to be a complete lie. He also stated that the store manager the gm, would be able to fix this herself and that he would discuss it with her the next afternoon, Saturday afternoon. Well it’s now Sunday and my husband called and was told to call back in 45 minutes because the GM went out to borrow things. First of all if you’ve got to complaint, you need to take down the phone number the information and that GM needs to call us back not the other way around. I called in to complain, spoke to a manager, who put me on hold, and gave me to a crew member because he didn’t want to deal with it. Now I do sound very Stern on the phone but I was not yelling at all and I’m pretty sure you would sound stern if someone stole your money and did nothing to attempt to fix the error on their part. She told my husband that she would have to escalate it to the area manager which my husband and 15 years of being a general manager, has never heard of this. Typically even regular managers are allowed to give refunds. Some stores are a bit more strict but again he’s never heard of this while working at multiple different restaurants for over 15 years. Now, at this point I was quite irritated, so I took the phone and I began to speak to her and explain this is unacceptable in which she told me during this conversation that she doesn’t even have an assistant general manager and she didn’t even seem to think that that was an issue until I forced it to become an issue stating well that person shouldn’t be working there if they’re lying and claiming that they’re a general manager when they are not. She casually said well yeah I guess that’s a coaching moment. Appearing to not care at all about this issue. I pressed harder saying this is my money and you need to refund it now. She told me well it’s going to be 7 to 10 business days. I told her if this error had been fixed right away, it likely hadn’t been processed yet and I would have gotten it back within 12 hours. I told her all of this was unacceptable and I was very upset with the fact that that person had lied and claimed to be the AGM and claim that she would give me a refund when she has not. I told her that all of this was a reflection of her leadership skills or lack thereof. She hung up on me like a child. I am not sorry. You chose to be in the position you are, you chose to have to deal with customer service issues, and nothing I said or no way I spoke to you was inappropriate in any way whatsoever. The way I’m speaking in this terrible review, is the way I spoke to you over the phone. I will not apologize for demanding my money back when you and your staff have not done their jobs.
