Last week, when we came in staff was abundant (3-5), which is not the norm when we come in. Usually it’s 2 people, maybe 3. I guess this was an important day. I saw a male, whom I’m assuming was the manager (who I’ve never seen in the store), and a Hispanic gentleman sitting at the back table (seemed to be someone from Wingstop’s upper management as well). I have gotten in the habit of ordering 1 hour before I need the food because the 18-36 minute estimated time has NEVER been accurate. On this day, it had been over an hour and our food still was not ready. The store was packed, and several other patrons were verbalizing how they had been waiting over an hour as well.
Skip to yesterday. My son orders at 6:40 pm. I go to pick the food up at 8 pm. Get there, I see the bag with his name on the shelf, the young lady asks me to come to the window, I give her the name. She takes and places the bag on the counter by the register and walks off. I get my son’s drink and proceed home, WITHOUT CHECKING THE BAG. We pull up to the house only to find items missing. I try to call the store, but like always, no one answers the phone. I return, wait a few minutes before getting the attention of the manager to explain the situation. The young lady was friendly and accommodating. She told me she only had 7 drums available (we order 10 bone-in Old Bay wings). I told her at this point, give me what you have because it’s late, my kids just came from practice and were ready to eat and go to bed. As I was waiting for her to get the food, the phone was just continuously ringing. If you all do not have the staff or are not going to answer the phone, set an automated message to let the person know to order online. However, when a mistake is made on an order, patrons are going to call.
