When our food arrived, we realized we had no silverware or napkins. While three of us had ordered finger foods, one person needed utensils to eat her meal. When we asked our server for silverware and drink refills, he responded, “I don’t think we have any silverware, but let me go check,” and walked away before we could clarify what he meant.
About 20 minutes passed. During that time, he stopped by other tables to drop off drinks and silverware, yet we still had nothing. At one point he told us, “Sorry this is taking so long, guys — we don’t have any cups either, but I’ll go wash some myself if I have to.” Meanwhile, we could hear silverware clanking near the kitchen, as though clean utensils were being sorted.
After roughly 30 minutes, silverware and napkins finally arrived, and our refills were brought in to-go cups. Those of us who ordered finger foods had been sitting with sticky hands and spicy food with nothing to drink. By then, the member of our party who had been waiting to eat said her meal was cold and no longer wanted it.
When the checks came, mine included an appetizer I did not order. The server said he would void it after I handed him my card. Given the earlier issues, I asked for a corrected check before paying. He smiled, gave a thumbs up, and said, “Take your time,” which didn’t address the request. When I followed up again, he responded with what felt like a sarcastic “anything for you.”
At that point, we chose to speak with the manager. He apologized and comped the entire bill, which we appreciated.
What made the situation particularly frustrating was that throughout the delay, we observed other tables receiving refills and silverware without issue. It left us feeling singled out or deprioritized, especially when one member of our party was unable to eat for nearly 30 minutes. We understand that restaurants get busy, but consistent communication, accuracy in billing, and equitable service are basic expectations. Unfortunately, this experience fell well short of that
However, I have never before seen such a team pull together and try to do whatever they could to get everybody their orders. Those team members were hopping, answering calls, running back to the kitchen, helping new walk ins, over, and over, and over again. I know some people will be complaining that their orders were late, but after watching the Wingers Team for quite a while, they only deserve praise, not criticism.
One huge bonus: this is the place for gluten-free options—there are so many to choose from, which is a rare find.
The service was fast and friendly, and the restaurant felt clean and well-kept. With great food, solid service, lots of gluten-free choices, and a comfortable environment, it felt like a winning combination. Looking forward to coming back for the wings and Sticky Fingers next time!
I tried both the sticky fingers and original wings. On the sticky fingers I had their house sauce and buffalo sauce. The house sauce was sweet and a little spicy. It was pretty good. The buffalo sauce was like any other buffalo sauce.
On the original wings I had the Caribbean jerk seasoning. It’s more of a dry rub. It had a little more heat, but still tasted pretty great. My favorite part was how crispy they got the skin on the original wings. Very good.
I also tried the garlic Parmesan fries and I’ll be honest, they weren’t great. They were soggy and too garlicky. They came with fry sauce that was way too sweet. I think I’d stick with regular fries next time.
