We stopped in for lunch at Winey Dogs so I could try the featured Coney Island Dog, which was vey good. My spouse had the German Dog. Both were delicious—great flavor, good snap, and really satisfying. A fun, easy spot for a quick bite. Plus cute décor. We’ll definitely be back to try other dog combinations.

Food/Taste/Flavor: 4/5 – overall was good but there wasn’t anything special about it so it felt like something anyone could create. Monster Nachos were chips with chili, nacho cheese, fresh onion, tomatoes, green peppers, and jalapeños. The ingredients seem fresh as the raw onions definitely had a crisp bite. Since it was in a rectangular container, the toppings were sitting on top and the chips at the bottom were pretty bare

Backyard Dog with ketchup, mustard, and sweet relish. The bread wasn’t toasted and the dog didn’t have any grill flavor.

Ambience: N/A – ordered food to go. The shop is bright with the grill outside

Service: 5/5 – friendly and communicative

Value for price: 4/5 – good ingredients, friendly service, and reasonable price. What you would expect from hotdogs but nothing super unique that you must stop for

Update: did the ride again to have the dogs. They are two for two now with me. I am more than happy to ride 6 hours round trip for the dogs The owners are pretty cool as well. And thanks for the sticker

Traveled over 3 hours to try this place and I’m glad I did. Start with the owner making us feel very welcome and was beyond friendly made for a great first experience. The selection of dogs won’t disappoint you and they are freshly made with great add-ons. I had 2 and actually thought of having a 3rd but refrained myself.

I suggest you try Winey Dog you won’t be disappointed

We saw the sign for veggie dogs one night and decided to stop in for lunch one day. What a great lunch spot!!! It was the perfect amount of food. No longer hungry but not over stuffed. Great prices (about $10 per person) and if you’re vegetarian or vegan, they have plenty of options for you as well! Delicious and really hit the spot! Everyone was super friendly.

The Kilted Perspective
Having recently dined at Winey Dogs in Yakima, WA, I must say that it was an overall fantastic experience. From the prompt service to the delightful outdoor seating, this place has easily become one of our go-to spots. However, there was one minor hiccup regarding the sweet tea that I feel compelled to mention.

Let’s start with the highlights. The food at Winey Dogs is simply outstanding. The service was impressively fast, ensuring that our orders arrived promptly at the table. The kitchen staff’s efficiency didn’t compromise the quality of the food; each bite was a burst of flavor that left us wanting more. Whether you’re a fan of classic hot dogs or in the mood for one of their gourmet creations, Winey Dogs has something to satisfy every palate.

The covered outdoor seating area added a charming touch to the dining experience. Despite the restaurant’s compact size, they have maximized the use of their outdoor space, creating a cozy and enjoyable atmosphere. It was truly delightful to savor our meals in the fresh air, making our visit even more memorable.

Now, onto the minor conundrum we encountered: the quality of the sweet tea. Unfortunately, it didn’t meet our expectations. As individuals raised in the South, we may have been spoiled by the exceptional sweet tea we grew up with. While Winey Dogs’ version wasn’t terrible, we felt that the quality fell short of what we had hoped for. However, taste preferences can be subjective, and other patrons might find it perfectly acceptable.

Despite this small tea-related disappointment, we wholeheartedly recommend Winey Dogs for its outstanding food, prompt service, and charming outdoor seating. If you’re in search of a casual and delicious dining experience in Yakima, this is definitely the place to be. Just be aware that the quality of the sweet tea might not match the standards of those accustomed to the excellence of Southern-style sweet tea. Nevertheless, we eagerly anticipate our next visit to Winey Dogs to indulge in their mouthwatering menu once more.

Good service, good prices and delicious food! There’s even a Poochies inspired dog if you have been craving one of those… They have a pretty impressive selection of mustards and other condiments as well. They are currently in the process of building an enclosed patio for outdoors dining, which will be a nice addition.

Tasty hot dogs in a variety of formats. Good flavor and fair prices. Cozy and clean building. Great weekly specials and homemade side dishes. Had a delicious New York Reuben Dog today—it was fancy and tasted authentic. Not your average hot dogs. Recommended!

Great food, wonderful staff, warm welcome and atmosphere, such a variety of gourmet hot dogs to satisfy any palette, a list of adult and all-age drinks to wash them down with, outdoor to seating so you can enjoy the warm sun, cool drink and freshly-grilled dog together with room for friends and family. Being right next to Yakima Avenue, it’s a great place to take the wife and kids for dinner before making your way over to “the ave” for Cruise Night during the summer. Also, it’s surrounded by some of my favorite street skating spots making it a great, convenient spot for refueling and hydrating between sessions.
Whether you like veggies, chili, fancy sauces, Winey Dogs has something for everyone. Try them out today!
