I don’t usually care for doing reviews, but since I was hungry and my food isn’t worth eating I gotta say it. First off I didn’t read any reviews prior to ordering from the establishment. The first picture is what I was expecting which comes up with this company on google. When I seen the nice real Chicago deep dish pizza I was sold, but I ended up with the second picture below. My pizza Isn’t tasty and doesn’t look like the picture advertised . Please Place a picture of your Chicago deep dish instead. What you see is what you get is what customers appreciate. Let me tell you about the Parmesan wings I ordered that smell very bad from the time I opened the lid. The grease is bad which leaves everything you cook with a bad smell like old grease. Freshly battered chicken doesn’t look or smell like my wings. I’m just offended that you served me the wings like that. My mouth was set on the picture you advertise on google. After I opened the box I thought it was a mistake but it’s a Chicago empty deep dish pizza and that’s just it. If the grease isn’t bad that means the meat is bad. I can’t take any chances with Chicken like this. Hospitals are full and the Way my wings smell I would definitely not be well if I ate them. I’m not looking for nothing free and certainly not a refund. Look at your overall reviews and make changes if you care. People are not picking on this establishment like I said before my food made me look at your reviews. If I looked at the reviews I definitely wouldn’t have ordered anything. This my 45.00 Truth for free tonight!

The only reason I’m giving this a 2 star review is because it is a good tasting pizza, it’s got a nice tasting sauce and a decent crust. If I was rating on deep dish standards alone it would be a negative number. Look at the pictures people, no meat, thin crust, light on the sauce, it’s not a legit deep dish pizza. I was born in Chicago, to call this an authentic Chicago deep dish is an insult to the entire city. Al Capone would be rolling over in his grave if he saw this. I paid 40 bucks for a 12 inch thin crust pie that tasted ok but was by no means a legit Chicago deep dish pizza. Anyone from Chicago knows that a true deep dish requires a fork, you can’t pick it up like a hot and ready. This thing had nothing on it, LOOK AT THE PICTURES PEOPLE!! Keep in mind this is what they are calling a meat lovers, where’s the meat? This is not authentic Chicago pizza.

ever since I passed by this I’ve been meaning to try it. The pictures always tempted me and today I got to take my own!
I’d like to say I called the restaurant first and the guy on the phone who I assume is the owner.. his voice felt like home. Right then and there I knew I was preparing to have the best pizza I’ve ever had! I was not let down. It was beyond expectations of perfect. My fiancé said it was everything he has ever wanted out of pizza, and the I tried to suggest he cater our wedding! Lol.
This was just a 10 inch but we’re prepared to make this a regular spot. Another note my fiancé is lactose intolerant yet his stomach did not hurt afterwards!!! Plus for me because that means we get to have pizza a lot more often! The owner was extremely nice and made sure we know how to eat the pizza correctly. The way his passion gleamed through his eyes made our day. We’ll never have pizza anywhere else.

I have to agree with Halladay below. I ordered the meat lovers pizza as well for a surprise for my boyfriend’s birthday and completely disappointed. If there was any meat in there it was well hidden. This was a cheese lovers pizza. Now to figure out what to get to feed my boyfriend for his birthday since this was an epic fail.

I think the pineapple on my pizza had gone bad to the point of it tasting like vinegar . Couldn’t eat 2 pieces . The salad was very limp and croutons were mush .. I was disappointed after reading all the reviews . There was hardly any ham present .. I think this was a harsh joke because of all the stigma for ham and pineapple lovers. You won this round! Terrified I’m going to get sick we ordered a medium deep dish.. there were hardly any toppings or cheese present.. the crust was rock solid and not flaky at all.. the owner was super friendly and talkative . I may go back .

I stopped by here for the first time today, and I was quite pleased all the way around. As another review stated, it is a one-man-show here, but the man, Charles, knows what courteous customer service is all about. He is proud of his ingredients and recipes, and he should be as he goes out of his way to make sure that he is only serving the best. This is the perfect example of your “local” restaraunt, and the kind of little gem that we all should support when we are in the area.

This pizza is a joke. It was burnt, barely any sauce, and definately not worthy of the name Chicago Style deep dish Pizza. Thin, barely any sauce, and burnt sides does not make this deep dish. What a joke! If I could give this place -10 stars I would.

We enjoyed a large meat lovers deep dish with traditional crust. I’m a Chicago native and this is exactly what I was looking for. This pizza is not really what you’d get from Lou’s or Giordano’s, and it is not trying to imitate those pies. It is definitely legit Chicago, and definitely delicious- and at what I consider the appropriate price point for what I would pay at home. If you’re reviewing this like NY style pizzas or your typical chain pizza, you’re comparing apples and oranges. Strong performance- we will be back again and again. Go Cubs go!

The gentleman here at Windy City was a lovely and great to talk to! The pizza is as close as I’ve ever had to real Chicago deep dish in almost three years of looking. I would definitely order here again. The price was a bit high but all things being equal I’d spend WAY more shipping it from Chicago and it wouldn’t taste the same in a home oven. Keep up the good work!! And thank you!!!!
