YAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL. I know I’ve lived in Arkansas over half my life now. This is home. I embrace that. But when I get “home sick” I crave the nostalgic “comforts”from Illinois. I’ve tried eating “Chicago style food” around here and it just doesn’t hit the same. It doesn’t scratch that itch. Until today… Windy City Eats . Hits. Different. It literally was a taste of home. I had their italian beef (that’s the true test of how authentic a Chicago food place is) and when they asked if I wanted it dipped, I KNEW it was love at first bite yall.
ANNNDDDDDDD to make it better it’s a SUPER nice young lady and her mom that were there running it today and I legit left there feeling like I met a long lost auntie that I’d never met before like, they embraced me like family and just chit chatted with me until my food was ready and I will absolutely be back.
