Level 2 is a stop on every visit. We just love the casual atmosphere with the ocean overlook. The lobster bisque and sushi rolls are our favorites. Great cocktails too!!!

The food here is truly terrible. Unfortunately, I dined here 3 times over the course of my week stay at the Windrift. Not because the service or food was good, but only because it’s convenient. The chicken salad croissant was extremely dry, all three sushi rolls I tried were made with low quality fish, squishy rice and were loosely rolled, so the roll fell apart while being picked up. The only decent thing on the menu was the lobster bisque. Also, keep in mind that there are no reservations for outdoor seating.

We reserved a table for 9. Got there was we were sat at two tables next to each other. We moved the tables together (we were against a two walls, not center tables) and the manager came over and told us “we don’t do this here” and made us separate the tables for “traffic reasons” and “because they were two different sections with two different servers” he was very rude about it – well, ended up with 1 server anyway…. 1st table got water, 2nd table didn’t….so we had to ask for water – Loud music at bar and acoustics in dining room terrible so hard to hear each other. Just loud in general. Food was fine. But very disappointed we could not sit together on my birthday. Seriously there was no harm in moving the tables together with plenty of room for “traffic” since we were on the back wall anyway. Other guests commented and agreed we should have been able to sit together. Poor customer service.

Gorgeous views. Subpar and expensive drinks (at least they were strong). Awful food. Ordered fries and tenders. No dipping sauce. Horrible! Bar tender was not born to work serving drinks. Very underwhelming experience. And I do love the hotel Icona and their service but looks like they couldn’t bring yet their quality to Windrift. I hope they improve service and food as I would love to go there more often.

We ate here at least 3 times this summer. The food including the sushi is basically 3 stars. It’s just ok. The sushi is different than it was with the prior owner and I’m not the only one to say it. They need to kick it up a notch for next season. The atmosphere is 5 stars. Great views of the beach and the ocean. The bands at night and Jim Banach in the piano lounge are so much fun. We’ve gone here for years. Now our kids are going and having a great time. Another summer in the history books.

Excellent food and service. Had breakfast with 11 Family members and served by Emily. Attentive and great service, good food choices. 3 days in a row. Very interesting 3 level restaurant. Had dinner upstairs 3 days in a row also. Great cocktails and good food. Attentive service in a very busy restaurant
