The Windham Restaurant is proud to occupy one of Windham’s most significant historical sites. First operated as a farm in 1729, the present Colonial style house was built in 1812 and was extensively restored at the turn of this century. The Windham Restaurant features elements that are rustic, romantic and relaxing, including working fireplaces in our bar and first floor dining area. The decor complements the historic character of the building with a few carefully selected modern elements to create a distinctive dining experience. Excellent service and excellent food. Had the calamari appetizers, most tender I’ve ever had. Had the ribeye steak, and wife had the surf and turf, 3 lamb chops and 3 stuffed shrimp. Outstanding meal! Highly recommended.

Nice atmosphere, good food, and even better service! It has a nice setting for a date or to bring family. The space is a little tight, but that’s not a big issue. The waitresses were hustling and attentive. Our food came out quickly and hot despite it being a full house. Portion sizes were good too. Glad we got a reservation as we likely would have had to wait (6:30pm)! Would recommend this place to anyone. We are sure to be back again and are happy to have this Italian restaurant nearby.

This local favorite continues to impress under the new ownership. The food is always amazing with so many different options, specials, soups and delicious homemade bread. The drinks are generous and spot on! The staff are so welcoming and accommodating you truly feel at home. We love the option for casual bar dining or the more private dining room. Highly recommend if you haven’t been. They also offer some convenient family meals to go that are sure to please!

When we think about celebrations, Windham Restaurant is always our first option and it never disappoints. From the starter to the dessert the quality and taste of everything was outstanding, my duck entree might have been the best meal I have ever been served. We had a great experience at the bar at Windham Restaurant last week. We came in for apps and drinks and they were fantastic. The tuna app was dreamy and my husband refused to share his wings they were so good! The bartender was also really fun!!! Can’t wait to have dinner there and check out the new upstairs speakeasy bar.

This restaurant was highly recommended by my friends and we came in as a group of 5. A problem I noticed right away was that Windham tried to fit too much into their space. The way tables were rearranged, worked, but I was sandwiched between the end of a table and a wall. Secondly, they don’t have many appetizers that can be shared among such a big party unless you like calamari. We ordered misc. apps to hold us over.

Had an amazing dinner here last week. Starting with a martini and wedge salad and then got steak tips which were full of flavor and very tender. Bartender and staff were very personable and attentive. New owners are passionate about their business and really care about customers. Cocktail list is vast and everything was great. Thank you!
