Had never heard of Wimpys hamburgers until now. Driving by on a road trip and decided to stop by. Felt bad because they were getting ready to close and didnt realize until we walked in, but we’re happy to take our order with no complaints. Ordered to go. Had the #3, Wimpys double and fries. The food was delicious. Probably one of the best burgers I’ve had. Great food, friendly service, and fast. Will definitely stop by again when we get a chance.

I’ve driven past this place so many times but finally decided to drop in. The burgers were delicious 10/10 for sure. The lady at the counter was really nice.
The downside really was the price. I was surprised that we spent 30.00 for two people. Truthfully you can spend less at some sit down restaurants. Considering the condition of the location as well as the people hanging around outside idk if the price made sense.

I ate here today. As I was eating my food and looking around, I soaked in all of the memories from this place over the 30+ years, and I felt sad. Sad that I realized that this is going to be the last time that I order from this restaurant. So glad that I was fortunate to experience this place in the 90’s up until the new ownership took over. This place has lost its prestige and character. The quality of the food has decreased dramatically as if there is no pride in producing a high quality product and service anymore. Perhaps it’s the expansion of the restaurant brand to other locations? Compared to having 1 centralized location, where all of the resources were invested, thus produced at one time, one of the highest quality burgers and fries in the valley. I definitely cannot say that about this place anymore and it’s unfortunate. I have a lot of memories there and unfortunately, those will only be memories as I will no longer dine here. For the new residents of Tulare and younger generations who were not fortunate to experience the high quality of Wimpy’s Burgers of the past, you definitely missed out on the best burgers and fries in the valley at one time.

A long time has past since I last ate at Wimpy’s. Nothing has changed, they still have good sandwiches. The counter sales person was helpful and friendly. One person in our group had a hamburger. Another person at our table ordered a pastrami burger, and had a chicken sandwich. The food was great.

Great burger joint. I ordered the pastrami Supreme (#6) thinking it was a pastrami burger. But to my surprise it was a sandwich with pastrami and no burger. That was my fault for not fully reading the menu. The sandwich was delicious but would be way better paired with a hamburger. The onion rings were really good. Not quite crispy as I like them to be but I’m sure that’s because I got them to go. Any issues I had with the food was on me. That’s why I’m giving them 5 stars.
Their fries looked really good. I’ll have to try them next time I come in. I’m from out of town and like to try new places wherever I go. For me to say I want to go back there and not another place is a big complement.
Note to owner: offer a pastrami Burger. All you have to do is add pastrami to one of your single or double patty burgers.
