Extremely understaffed and poor quality food. Came here once in 2023 was bad. Decided to come again and still bad in 2025. Do not come here unless you want pricey food for bad taste. The meat is 5/10 and the bun is -10/10. Stay away.

I was roaming the streets in Houston just for the weekend. My kids and I were looking for a good place to eat but didn’t know the area. Until I saw the corner of my eye, I spotted this place driving, and after looking at it, it seemed like an old-fashioned burger place. So we decided to try it and see what this place is all about. First off, it is kind of cramped inside, but it won’t stop me because I understand it’s only a downtown place. But man, there are so many options from, of course, burgers, chicken sandwiches, regular sandwiches, and chicken tenders. I’ve decided to get a Chili Cheese Burger while the kids wanted the chicken tenders. The timing for a busy place was not bad, pretty fast, I might say. The first bite I took and knew it was just that old fashioned burger feel when you look at this place from the old side. And the chicken tenders are not your normal fast food place. Mostly all chicken and not filled with bread trying to make it look bigger. And on top of everything, FINALLY a place that serves hot sauce/ spicy ketchup. But yet, that’s just a personal preference for me. Overall if I go back to Houston I’ll be one of those people saying before I drive back home I need to stop at Wimpy’s or better yet the first thing I do when I get there is to go to Wimpy’s. To the owner of this place, keep it up. I will be back again

walking distance from Allen Center. first time trying. friendly customer service. wimpy’s famous hamburger was good. it was cut in half without asking which I liked. really good fries but the ketchup ruined it for me. so trivial but the ketchup had funny taste – tried to swap out with another table but didn’t change taste. I would def go back but with my own ketchup as funny as that sounds.

What I received was just ok. I was very surprised based on how busy the place always is. Next time I will try a burger to give them another shot, but those did not look to appetizing at the time. My club sandwich had a ton of mayonnaise on it but was fine other than that. The fries were average and not crispy. Part of this may be due to how busy the lunch rush is, but that has to be your bread and butter for downtown establishments.
They staff was very nice and working super hard, but I likely won’t be back unless someone is really wanting to go there. The only complaint I have is that because of the speed at which they are running around to complete orders, everyone was touching everything to get things done (including taking orders and payment)

The front sir is Extremely friendly! Food is good, but I really prefer the onion ring than the burger. Look at the decorations on the wall, very nice! Surprise for my visiting Houston

Burgers are horrible, feels like you’re eating nothing but bread, guy at the front counter was DEFINITELY not raised right and does not understand the English language, got pissed off when I asked for ranch. Fish and chicken are horrible I don’t even know why I attempted to eat that there. Save your money don’t come here.

Had no clue about this chain until we went to LA. They also have one here in Houston Tx too! The staff was super friendly and helpful. Had cruising oldies playing. Great food, amazing food & price was on point too.
