Wilma’s Famous BBQ at 1223 Sibley Blvd. Dolton, Il 60419. The restaurant area is a good size. There are only a few tables for two available (bar chairs) I don’t think it’s ideal to dine in. Too many people standing in line to place and wait for their orders. We tried the Rib tips, Wings, Slab, Turkey Tips, Chicken wings, the fries were good too. The special surprise was the Chicken Tips!!! Now, at this location, if you’re looking for the typical sides like Mac n cheese or greens etc. I suggest having it at home and just get Da Meats at Wilma’s. They have Icee’s of different flavors available also. Keep in mind, this is a busy place so if you have a disability, you may have to stand for a period of time. The staff are working hard to give you good food but there’s a wait attached. The sauce is very good too.

Tonight 10-29-25 @7:02 ticket#455. The order was 2 LG. Rib Tip special for the price of$15.00ea. Now I was totally disappointed paid for a thin cut and the meat wasn’t cut thin it was chopped up with a lot of bones and fatty meat. Then instead of what I’ve had several times before thinly cut portion was full not 1/2 of what you expected. Then on top of the food not being what I ordered it wasn’t hot. The charges were very different from 10-22-25 ticket #330 same kind of order also 10-08-25 same order priced at $15.00 tax $1.46 total being $16.46 ea time within 2wks. and tonight my order was $15.00 ×2=$30. With a surcharge of3% and $2,00 for extra sauce which was never charged before and no surcharge either. My bill was $36.18 tonight and the only reason I didn’t walk across the street to bring it back i really didn’t feel like arguing about what was given to me I’m a senior and feel like if your food can be served correctly sometimes it should be consistent all the time. I should not have to down your place of business and go to your opposition to get a decent meal and you are right across the street from my home. But I’m done my taste buds were watering for good food and it wasn’t fit to eat. This is very bad..I’ve included the photos of the fatty order which was suppose to be a large not small.

First Time in Chicago and I must say that if you ever visit please stop by Wilma’s. Its considered carry-out so there is limited seating. The staff was welcoming and friendly. They have a huge menu so its alot to choose from. Definitely worth the money that you spend, because the portion sizes are in abundance. Definitely recommend.

Second time here and it got the chicken tip and turkey link. This time the food was much better and service was faster. The 2 stars is for the atmosphere is because they need a better ventilation system. I was inside for 2 minutes and my clothes smelled like i was there for hours. Its very smokey inside.

I spent $40 on 6 wings, they were good. I also got a large tip/link combo. The tips were a bowl full of bullshit!!! The pic shows that they was not one gristle, which is what a tip is, in the bowl. Maybe 4 or 5 real cut tips and the rest was some shredded pork garbage. Finally, they said it comes with two whole links, I got two little Oscar Mayer hotdogs sized links. This is why I hate trying new places and should’ve just stood in the cold at Lem’s. At least I would got some real tips and two real sized hot links. But the sauce was ♂️

South suburbs yall can’t be serious about this spot I gave them a try and they missed every mark. I ordered a combo rib tips and wings because you can’t go wrong with with wings RIGHT? WRONG!! The rib tips were boiled and was still tough I was highly disappointed with that then the wings had more than enough salt to make anyone blood pressure high and a awful burnt taste the French fries and bbq sauce was ok I would have said the bbq sauce was good but I have ate uncle Remus sauce and I know good sauces but they tried so I guess I can give 3 stars… try harder

I gave Wilma’s another chance. My wings were good, but once again, my ribs were extremely tough, boiled, and undercooked. I didn’t want to get sick from under cooked food, so I had to put it in the oven. I feel the owner gives standard responses. I want to continue to support black businesses, but the standard tend to fall once they receive the support. I work hard for my money, and I hate throwing it away.I feel the food quality is inconsistent. I will never go back, and I will not recommend them to anyone.
