My cousin invited my mom and I out..I was going to go to the cafe in Big Lake but mom chose this one.. We got there early and we’re greeted and seated right away. Our waitress was wonderful..I wanted the corn tortillas done the way I was used to in California.. The chef came out personally to check what I wanted! The plating was beautiful and the food was delicious! I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to eat good food.. The place was super clean and the staff was professional and smiling

Willy’s on the Water has a pleasant dining area overlooking Big Lake with indoor seating as well. I really enjoyed the walleye with wild rice, and the service was friendly and welcoming. Great food and highly recommended.

We came here for the first time and saw that they had a $10 pizza special. We got the “white chicken”. It was dry. Chicken was dry and pizza was dry (not enough sauce). But we
were so hungry – we ate it. I shared this feedback when asked if we wanted a box to go. When I shared this – the manager took care of us.
Beautiful atmosphere as it’s on water.
Because of the atmosphere, We would come here again for drinks and a different food item.

This is an excellent location with a great view of the water. The food is excellent, service is friendly and on-point, and ice cold beer. Although they do not accept reservations, they do have plenty of seating on the patio that is right on the lake. They also have an outdoor bar providing shade. I highly recommend the steak nachos!

Breakfast with the Grinch was a total flop. Buffet style Breakfast, they ran out of pancakes and then brought out burnt pancakes.(They ran out of pancakes within 5 minutes of getting in the door after it opened at 10am) There were powdered scrambled eggs that were cold, the only thing good at the buffet was the bacon. Wash that down with a $5 cup of Swiss miss hot chocolate, while you listen to blaring rock music and watch the Grinch sit in a corner. $16 for adult, $12 for kids for 3 items on the buffet menu, burnt pancakes, reconstituted eggs, and bacon. 2 adults and 3 kids we spent $97 before the tip. I feel like they didn’t care and we got scammed. They could have played Christmas music too. This was clearly a gimmick to make quick money with not much effort put into it.

Our first time here and we will be back. Service was phenomenal. Our server Dana was very knowledgeable about everything and was great. We had the artichoke stuffed mushrooms, pistachio crusted walleye and finished with pistachio cheese cake. Everything was so good. Can’t wait to go back and try the crab cakes. Thank you for a great experience.

Our meals were delicious!! I had the Artichoke Chicken sandwich with coleslaw. My son had The Sicilian pizza. My mother had the Chicken Strips platter. My brother had the Saturday night special Prime rib. The atmosphere was kinda loud since it’s all open. There is a separate dining area that over looks the lake. The customer service was friendly and efficient. They do not take reservations and although we got there a little after 6pm, we were seated immediately. The overall experience was great and actually this was my 5th or 6th time dining here, so that should speak volumes. If you decide to eat here bon appetite..

I haven’t been to this restaurant since before it changed from Russell’s to Willy’s. My filet mignon was excellent. It was seasoned well, and so tender you could almost cut it with a fork. The sides were okay, but why restaurants insist on serving green beans that are barely cooked and almost raw I don’t understand. The Caesar salad was a little different, but also was very good. The service was excellent – very welcoming and attentive. The only thing I can complain about is the dining area. It was uncomfortably cold and the circulation fans were running to the point I had to put my coat back on to stay warm. Maybe somebody forgot to turn the AC off?
