Good place for a family dinner, and their crab cakes are tasty. This place is low key (I think it used to be a diner), spacious, and the servers are friendly. The portions are good, took a pic of the crab cake meal. They also offer unlimited salad and soup bar for a great price. The food does not come with all of the bells and whistles of a top notch restaurant, but so what? Good place.

My family and I had a lovely dinner at the Willow Street Diner. We were greeted by wonderful, friendly and welcoming staff. The food was exceptional. We each ordered something different off the menu, and we all left raving about our different dishes. The meats are tender, seafood dishes are juicy and flavorful, fries were super crispy. We enjoyed every bit of our meals. We visited around the holidays and the diner was tastefully decorated making it warm and inviting. We highly recommend the Willow Street diner.

We stopped in at 1915 Monday evening as a party of 5. We were very frazzled due to just having a car accident. Anne, our waitress was very patient and kind. We had the haddock, spaghetti w meatballs, turkey dinner, meatloaf, and french toast with corned beef hash. Meals are large portions with lots of side dish options. A great soup and salad bar. There are too many dessert options to list! Pies, cakes, buns oh my!! Prices are good. Parking is plenty. This is a great place for family, first date, or get-together meals.

The food here was truly incredible, and the service was impeccable as well. Even though they did forget some items for our server Tyler, he handled the situation with great care and did a fantastic job at making sure we were taken care of. I would definitely rate this experience a 10 out of 10.

Nothing special here and a little disappointed. Service wasn’t very good and the food was ok. My tuna melt was bland with nothing in it and not enough mayo. (How do you fumble on a tuna melt?). The breakfasts were average

I got the meat lovers omelette and my wife got the eggs Benedict both with potatoes. I gave 4 stars because the waitress ask ‘do you want cheese’ without telling it was extra and the same with the biscuit instead of toast.
I like to be forthright with my customers and expect the same when I am the customer.
The food was delicious, the potatoes were different than I have before, but they were good.
You can see the extra charges on the picture of the ticket

On November 22 I ate at the Willow Street Restaurant. The food was tasty, the atmosphere pleasant, but what stood out for me was this. Soon after we were seated an older gentleman in full dress blues was seated. Not long after that my lunch companion hailed a waitress and asked to pay for the soldier’s meal. She was refused because the waitresses had already paid for it. Wow, how to leave a good impression!

Whatever it is the call coffee is awful! Don’t ask for crispy bacon it will be burnt. The lady from the kitchen helped out because our waitress never came around after she gave us the check. Pancakes were just ok.

EDIT: I have since been given Pennsylvanian reeducation therapy by some friends. This dish, which in some countries is considered a war crime, is actually supposed to be like this. So I give it 8/8 for Amish authenticity, but my overall review still stands.

ORIGINAL POST: I ordered the special written on the board out front, “chicken and waffles”. There was no description of the dish written, and I did not see it represented in the normal menu to check what it was.

I don’t mind switching it up for something different and interesting now and then, but “chicken and waffles” has a pretty specific meaning with reasonable expectations attached to it. This special probably should have instead been titled, “please help us get rid of our extra, weird Christmas chicken pot pie filling, from the planet Venus, before it goes bad.” This dish tastes exactly like it looks.

It came with soup and salad bar (not pictured). The tray of Sysco surplus mixed lettuce at the bar was turning brown, but the assorted cut vegetables were nice. The soup was as alien as the chicken and waffles; it appeared to be some kind of cheese or egg drop soup, with hard boiled eggs floating in it. I did not try it.

The wait staff never returned after serving our food; I don’t blame them, I wouldn’t either!

Service was great. Very accommodating to the older people we were with. To be honest, the food was horrendous. The fries and gravy were the only decent part. My pork chops were bland and felt watery, not normal pork chop like.
It seemed like they were boiled in water and then “seared” with no seasonings added. The potatoes had no flavor either. I feel like the cook needs a little more passion for his artwork.
