Willis Show Bar is nestled on the corner of Willis and Third, reborn as an upscale cocktail bar and live music venue from the “Show Bar” era. Opened in 1949 as a hotspot jazz club, the city closed it’s doors in 1978. The legendary bar was restored with its original Art Moderne style ceiling. The stage, located behind the bar, catches the attention of every seat in the house. Nightly entertainment features a variety of live music and DJs, depending on the night. Reservations are recommended, but walk-ins are welcome. Though not necessary, we love it when our guests dress up, as you are each a part of the experience. We do respectfully ask for no athletic wear, flip flops or sports related jerseys.

Don’t let the outside fool you. Inside, this place is an absolute gem! Bar is gorgeous, and the band behind the bar is unique. Bourbon selection is amazing, and the Fully stocked bar means any cocktail order is possible.
More importantly, everyone working when we went was super friendly and service was awesome!
Only thing is the lack of food. However, outside food is allowed, and we knew this before going so it was not an issue.
We will definitely be back!

We went on Wednesday, All Night Happy Hour, where the drinks are $8. The bartender was really nice, funny and provided good service. This is such a chill place to hangout with friends to talk, laugh, play games and have some drinks. I want to go back when they have live music. Highly recommend!

Such an awesome place! We went here to watch a jazz band play. The overall atmosphere was soo cool. you would never know from the outside. The drinks were good as well. A little pricey but still good. Very hard to hear your friends over the music and to talk to the sever. They don’t serve food but they keep the drinks and water coming so that’s a plus. Overall, great place to check out!

Small hidden gems you must check out if you’re in the area! Beautiful atmosphere, great live entertainment, delicious drinks, and fantastic tacos! You will never be disappointed in the quality of music, drinks and overall environment! Very safe adult date night choice! My husband and I go weekly! The DJ was the best part. Tables are close and feels kinda small after a while. The drinks weren’t too bad but definitely priced like a club. Running about $13-20 each. Service was slow but the music made the wait much easier. It was a taco and tequila party but getting tacos took forever. The waitress never came back to our booth (which was paid for) to take orders even though our table had a minimum. We went to the bar a few times.

This is a little hidden gem. We went a few hours before closing to enjoy some drinks and good music ($5 cover). The drinks was good. Our waiter was super nice. The Dj was on point with the music. The manager was super friendly and came and thanked us for coming in. I love the set up. I wish they a little dance floor and maybe some snacks to purchase. I can’t wait to go back to experience the live music.

We’ve been to this amazing show bar several times. We love the ambiance and comfy seating. The house band is talented and plays a wide variety of music. They offer many yummy specialized cocktails. Come check it out and you won’t be disappointed. Be sure and make a reservation.

Wonderful hospitality in this vintage bar! We went here on a recommendation to celebrate my BIL’s birthday and the overall atmosphere was so classy. Felt like you were stepping back in time in this beautifully restored jazz bar. The servers were so attentive and kept ours drinks full. Great bartender didn’t blink an eye when we ordered an aviation cocktail and a Sazerac. The drinks (and selections) were very good. It’s live music shows so though it’s cozy and intimate setting once the music starts you won’t be able to carry a conversation. They don’t serve food but it appeared they allow outside food. This is definitely a place I’d go back for a night out.

We had a lovely evening at Willis Show Bar. I loved the charming and authentically restored interior design. The staff were exceptional. Friendly but very professional, a level of elevated service that is hard to find. The music was great, and the cocktails delicious! A couple things to note for first timers. They do have a dress code, so check their website first. Also, this is a cocktail lounge, not a restaurant. Make sure you make dinner plans elsewhere. There are plenty of restaurants nearby to choose from.
