Willinghams is real deal, world class BBQ right in our back yard on PCH in South Redondo. The brisket is delicious and sliced thick to order. The ribs are not mush fall apart.. they are cooked just right.. very tender but still holding their integrity. The side orders are the best.. great potato salad, slaw, beans, greens, you really can’t go wrong on the sides. They also have 3 sauces mild, sweet and hot.. and they are all really good depending on what you prefer. This place is family run, and they give you excellent service. Takeout orders are packed with care and the food looks as good as it tastes. If you are looking for authentic BBQ that is as good as it gets give Willingham’s a try.. grand champion pedigree you can taste in the food.

I’m from South Georgia so BBQ was a staple growing up. I’ve not found many REAL BBQ places while living in CA.. they are few and far between.
I heard about this place and had to try it. I had the brisket, pulled pork with collard greens & cole slaw.
I noticed that all portions were measured. Normally, that’s good but I have to say.. for the $ I paid I expected more.. well.. I didn’t need more but $27 + tax for one slice (good sized) of brisket and a decent pile of pulled pork.. IMO.. was about $7 too much. I hear they sell out so who am I to judge. I can just say $27 for one grab and go meal makes me think twice about going again.
The food…
Brisket was basically perfection & I don’t take saying this lightly. Perfection. Moist.. pull apart and eat with some crisp edges.
Pulled pork was excellent but too much moisture was added. Back off JUST A TAD..
Collard greens.. they were AMAZING.. but.. but.. too salty. Y’all have VERY GOOD collards.. trust the soak… less salt and they are on par with my wife’s collards.. which are the only ones I normally eat.
Cole slaw .. made with mayo and (I think spicy) mustard.. we’re also AMAZING!! I would come back for just the cole slaw.
I give y’all 5 stars because the food overall was superb with just a few bits of feedback. I can’t wait to go back.. but I’m not rushing due to the price.
HIGHLY recommend if you are down to pay for amazing BBQ.

Some of the best BBQ I’ve ever had. One of the few places where every item has an almost homemade feel and taste. Great customer service as well. The ribs and brisket are elite. I wasn’t a huge fan of the potato salad, but the beans are better than what most places offer.
It is on the pricier side though. Still a nice option for a treat. I recommend it to BBQ connoisseurs.

Food is delicous meat is tender and juicy, but prices are outrageous, $16 for 1/2 pound ribs got me 3 ribs, no sides. $17 for 1/2 pound brisket. Picture below $33 total for this amount of food is crazy.

I had the brisket and pork ribs. Average taste. Brisket was too dry.

Tucked into a small plaza with easy parking, Willingham’s is a cozy, family-run BBQ spot that seats about 15–20 people. I dropped by for lunch at noon on a Wednesday, with no line, and was warmly greeted by the kind staff, possibly the family behind the operation. I ordered the half-pound brisket (half lean, half moist). The moist was definitely my favorite. The portion, around 4–5 slices, was a bit smaller than expected, so I’d recommend adding sides or upsizing to a full pound for a meal. The brisket had solid flavor, especially when dipped in what seemed like a mild, tangy vinegar-based BBQ sauce. While not exceptional on this visit, I’ll gladly return—great hospitality always deserves a second chance.

BBQ is just okay. I found out after ordering that it’s Memphis style BBQ which specializes in pork dishes which I didn’t have, though. I had brisket, beef ribs, and the jalapeño sausage which I’ll review.
Brisket [moist] – this was good. They brought the butcher paper with the brisket point and opened it up – Nice dark bark, good smoke flavor, and salt/pepper seasoning. Moist but not super moist as briskets I’ve had in Texas (Terry Black’s, Franklin, Hutchins, Pecan Lodge). It had a prime beef price tag but I don’t think it was prime beef like the higher end bbq joints
Jalapeño Sausage – flavor was okay (wish they added cheddar cheese) but the texture was what was weird for a sausage. Rather than being ground, the meat texture felt more like chopped meat. Not what I was expecting for a sausage.
Beef Ribs – this was disappointing. For plate beef ribs, these were tiny, very chewy and not at all fork tender. Flavor was good like the brisket but the cook and rest was bad. They took it from the oven from a leftover cut where they kept it warming which likely dried it out. Do not recommend.
Overall, beef is better than your local Dickey’s but doesn’t stack up to the better BBQs I’ve had all over the country. Go for the brisket but skip the sausage and beef ribs. Will be back to try the pork [spare] ribs next as these looked good

This small business is calling and you should answer! Absolutely delicious BBQ. The texture and flavor of the jalapeño sausage is possibly the best I’ve ever had. At first glance, I thought my calidude sandwich was going to be an utter mess, but pleasantly surprised the bun held up to its contents and each bite had a fantastic balance of bread, meat and condiment. Willingham’s knows what they’re doing and I’m here for it

Though my rating is 4 Stars, I’d really rate it 3.5 stars if I could. The food (meats and sides) was fresh and well prepared, however, it all lacked flavor. The brisket was super tender and the ribs fell right off the bone. The turkey was a bit dry and the pulled pork was just shredded pork. My favorite meat was the hot link. The potato salad and baked beans were average, but the creamed corn and cole slaw were both quite tasty. Was not impressed at all by the BBQ sauces; I tried to doctor them but ultimately decided to just use my own. Overall, it was a good experience and I’d definitely go back! Though it slightly bland and lacked some flavor, I appreciate quality BBQ that isn’t too salty or overly greasy.
