I will give this place an avg of 4 stars because of the neighborhood atmosphere and the staff were awfully friendly people. But the reason you go is because of the bbq. I went on a Tues about 3pm. Was really craving some good ribs. Nope, no ribs, at 3pm on a Tues.? Come on. OK no killer deal I love brisket which they had. Good flavor but full of fat and seemed to be sitting for a while, not too impressed. Beans and potato salad were very decent for the sides. Overall just avg for bbq but could have been bad timing or just an off day. If in the area, I’ll give it another shot

The place has a lot of character, you can tell it’s been a part of the community for a very long time. The staff are lovely, they make you feel welcome.
The food is absolutely delicious. The Brisket is tender and juicy but not overly fatty. Their sauce is packed with flavor. Even the bread was toasted to perfection and pillow soft on the inside.
The portions are great and the prices are very reasonable when you consider the quality and taste of what you’re getting.

Very disappointed, we were the first customers of the day and there was already a quarter of a brisket sitting under the heat lamp. So of course my brisket was dry and tough as leather. The chicken was equally as dry. Mac and cheese litarely just had shredded cheese on top not creamy like you would expect. The loaded mashed tasted good but had fake bacon bits on top. For $20 I definitely expect more. But judging by other reviews it seems to be an on going problem with sliced meats!

First time trying Willie B’s & we will definitely be back! Building has that neighborhood BBQ joint feel to it, & we appreciated the super friendly service. The turkey was tender & thankfully not dry at all like some other places. A scoop of ice cream on the peach cobbler would have taken it up a notch, but it was pretty good. Best items hands down were the jalapeño cream corn & the sausage & brisket ***burrito***- ginormous & so delicious! We already know what we’re ordering next time! Glad we gave this place a try!

The place is a pop and mom hole in the wall. But the staff is very friendly. The food to myself was a miss. My brisket was dry and tough. The sides of mac and cheese and the mashed potatoes were good. Maybe it was one if those days. They do take out and cater. I might stop by once more to give it another chance.

We ordered the Brisket, Sausage and smoked turkey plate with potato salad and macaroni salad with peach cobbler for dessert. For a party of 9. Unfortunately the Brisket was dry unless you put alot of sauce on it. The smoked turkey did not taste like anything at all. No smoke flavor or turkey flavor just salt and it was very dry and chewy. The sausage on the other hand was very juicy and delicious. The potato salad and macaroni salad was OK nothing to rave about. And the peach cobbler was not good at all. Overall 3 stars and I’m pushing it. And that’s because we went in early around 11:30 to get fresh meat. But we were all disappointed.

We were craving for Texas BBQ and got a recommendation from a friend to this place.
The vibe and atmosphere is nice. They have some instagramable spots as well.
I also included their menu here for y’all.
We ordered a family platter (botana for 2) and a famous baked potato with mollejas.
The portion is definitely a lot for 2, we are so full and still have a lot of leftover to take home. It came with choices of 3 sides and choice of either tortillas or bread.
We chose potato salad, cream corn and coleslaw. On the plate they have pickles, onion and pico de gallo too.
Now let’s talk about the taste. Overall, all the meat are awesome except for the brisket, it’s a little dry. The ribs, chicken and sausages is amazing. The sides are great too!
Highly recommend the baked potato, it was PERFECTLY SPLENDID! We chose to have everything on it (butter, cheese, sour cream, bacon bits and chives). You can choose whatever meat you want on it or no meat at all.
Staffs are super friendly and welcoming.
If you have a chance, stop by and try their food. So gooood

I had the brisket sandwich and shared a side of jalapeno corn. Server at the counter was friendly and quick. She suggested the corn side dish and she was right that it was good!
Just the right size sandwich which was 1/4 lb of meat on a toasted bun.

1st time here, hadn’t known of this location in Edinburg till we saw posts on the RGV Restauraholics Facebook Group page. This place did not disappoint, employees were so friendly and helpful and the restaurant has a nice, comfortable feel. We ordered the Friday lunch special plate of brisket, chicken, & sausage with rice/bean mix and potato salad. Tried also a brisket baked potato and a chopped brisket sandwich, the BBQ sauce is delicious and complimented nicely with everything. I loved the sweet tea as it always compliments well with BBQ.
