The food is not good. chicken swimming in grease meatloaf swimming in grease fried chicken was just not tasty and tasted of old grease. There was nothing I liked about this place. Catfish pieces were rather small check out the picture… those were normal sized hush puppies but they appeared gigantic compared to the fish. Catfish wasn’t very good either and the hush puppies were dry.

Okay, this place is awesome. I mean we literally look forward to going into town just to get to go by Williams Buffet. Great selection and service, the food is always delish and the price is right. Highly recommend!!

Passing through the area for work with my brother. Stopped here and I am happy we did. A nice salad bar. While it may not be the largest buffet, it makes up with very delicious food. My stomach was not big enough to eat the many wonderful looking desserts they had. The banana pudding and pecan pie was delicious. If I am back in the area I would stop in again.

I’ve eaten there several times. Food is great if you like good ole fashion home cooking. My problem was the floor. My feet literally stuck to the dirty carpet where we were sitting. Please take that carpet up! Hardwood or ceramic would be easier to keep clean. And I could enjoy my food more.

This is southern cooking at it’s best! The staff was friendly and the food was hot and delicious. Lots of families gathering for Sunday lunch gives it a warm atmosphere. They’re only open for lunch each day and they serve seafood on Friday’s. I can’t wait to go back!

I was pleasantly surprise @ how clean the restaurant and buffet appearance. Not to mention how fresh and tasty the food was. A very nice place to take to date, an entire family or co-workers looking for a wholesome meal. The staff were professional, knowledgeable and very attentive to their customers. Oh, by the way did I mention the place was packed with satisfied customers and I was one of them.

Granted this quaint little buffet does not have the choices of the bigger guys. Do not let that deter you. What they do have is more than enough. I tried almost everything. Fried fish and chicken batters were excellent!!! The beef gravy is always better over mashed potatoes. The corn was sweet, the cornbread was made with buttermilk, at least that’s what I tasted, in other words I enjoyed it. The greens were not bitter. Meatballs were good , the stuffing was fresh and just out the oven hot. I also had a salad, many fruit and other salad condiment options . Now the true highlight was the dessert. OMG!! I had a chocolate meringue pie…..mouth still celebrating, also had a piece of a marble multilayered cake that was just as good. I am certainly overstuffed but if it was on my plate I had to eat every bit. Definitely will stop here again!!!

First let me say, the atmosphere was like a family reunion, everyone knew everybody, smiling, laughing visiting, was awesome. Second the food was like eating at the best grandma’s southern dinner. I was blown away. So much to overeat on, and I did! Home pies like pecan, sweet potato, coconut cream, custard and cakes, pineapple upside down, pound cake, German chocolate, and more. Will definitely drive the two hours back just for this lunch buffet.

Okay, in the backwoods of Mississippi are all kinds of hidden gems—one being the good ol’ Southern soul food at Williams. It’s really the only deliciousness outside mama’s house in Prentiss, Mississippi, but child, it’s most certainly worth the pretty penny you pay for it. Hot and juicy, home cooked taste, sweet pies, rich gravies, and savory sauces … need I say more? Oh, and it’s family run, so expect some charm and loud talk. Feels like home!

We stopped in because of the 4+ star rating. Also because there were photos of baked chicken in the hopes of a healthier buffet option. This is a whole-in-the-wall place, which usually makes for really good food. If you want mediocre food and you want it fast, this is your place. It’s not grandma’s cooking unless grandma makes ‘okay’ food. Most veggies are from a can or there’s pre-frozen country fried steak. The desserts are basic grocery store pie. Some cakes may have been house made, but seemed dry. There is a cobbler, but it was basic as well. Here is a list of what I saw:
New potatoes- made in house
Peas- canned and seasoned
Corn- canned, seasoned, a bit dried up
Mashed potatoes- instant
Brown gravy – best guess, canned or made with a powdered mix
White rice – a bit hard/firm, house made
Catfish – best item on buffet. Seems house made
Fried chicken – dry, House made
Baked chicken – rather oily, house made
Turnip greens – canned
Cobbler – high school cafeteria style
Cornbread -housemade- eh

All in all, if you live in the area, go fo it -once.
If you’re passing through, skip it.
