Update as of 4/5/2024. As always outstanding here! I had the Seabass special it was perfectly cooked and maybe one of the best takes on Seabass that i have ever had. The chef here knows how to create a solid dish.
2/4/2024…new menu! Had the seafood pasta… very good! Outstanding dining experience! I had an appetizer on special which was Lightly Fried Green Tomato with Pan Seared Shrimp! Wow! For the intermediate course I ordered soup of the day which was Tomato Basil… Freshly made and tasty! Dinner was Mahi-Mahi fish… Unbelievable! Guys wow! Props to the chef as this was an outstanding dish! A 10 out of 10! My waitress was fantastic as well!!
We were disappointed with the experience as a whole.
Our waitress was so kind. She was handling a few tables as well as a large party. It sounded like she was newly from France. Loved her accent and how amazingly detailed she was when describing the entrees.
They were out of prime rib, which was understandable as our reservation was for 8 pm.
We had the oysters to start. Delicious, delicate, and no single, overwhelming taste. Cooked properly and arranged beautifully.
I ordered the salmon with a side of the lobster macaroni and cheese. It left nothing to be desired. It was perfectly cooked, flavorful, fresh, and had the perfect blend of cheese.
The next person ordered a ribeye and asked for it medium rare with the au gratin potatoes and the macaroni and cheese. Both sides were delicious. Cheese filled, crispy top, amazing. The ribeye was medium. It was overcooked for her liking.
The third person ordered a steak and wanted a sauce on the side. The sauce wasn’t served but was on our bill. The last person ordered pork chops, and those were so overcooked it appeared that the topping (with delightful little apple chunks) was actually being used to keep it moist.
I was the only person who enjoyed their full meal at our table.
To make it worse, we were too nervous to send anything back, as we’d all witnessed the chef reprimand and yell at our waitress. When we asked to take the sauce off the check, she said, “Of course! I am positive that I put that request in!” And she had – otherwise it wouldn’t have been on the check.
For the ratings this place had, it was a disappointment. I understand walking into a casino, you deal with the cigarette smell. I understand that sometimes you’re busy and understaffed. But I will never understand a chef thinking it’s okay to yell at a server or to ever do that in front of a restaurant filled with people. Especially when said chef only got 1/4 of the entrees correctly.
He told me to order anything on the menu and I said “Chef’s choice”.
The flavor was AHmazing and everyone was so friendly!!
The atmosphere was interesting to people watch. It appeared there were regulars there and it had this uppity, familiar kind of vibe to it.
10/10 would go back again!
Thanks Chef David and the entire staff for a wonderful experience.
